Oscar winning movie Lost In Translation has won another award, albeit an unwelcome one. It has been voted the most boring movie of all time.

It came top of the poll with 23 per cent of the votes. The 2004 film revolved around the tale of two American tourists (Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson) bonding after meeting in a hotel in Tokyo. It was directed by Sofia Coppola.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace came second in the survey, which was conducted by bed manufacturer Silentnight. Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind came third, Tom Cruise's Vanilla Sky came fourth, while Beautiful Mind is in fifth place.

Remains of the Day, The Black Dahlia and The English Patient also featured in the top ten.

Silentnight manufacturer Steven Simpson said, "We were surprised to see so many well-known award-winning films make the top 10. No doubt the findings will stir up some controversy amongst film fans.”

Which is no doubt what Silentnight want. However, we reckon Bill Murray isn't losing any sleep over the 'accolade'.
