I thought that it was an awesome episode, really good. I liked how that annoying reporter lady got stabbed, but it's good that she's ok. CD and Angela are acutally kinda getting along now, and Jinny and Teddy I hope they're alright. They make such a cue couple I hope nothing bad happens to them. Next weeks episode looks good, and I can't believe what Jinny said, about her birthday party's--
"Oh unless my 15th birthday counts where my dad showed up plastered and in his underwear. Oh but my mom couldn't make it to that because oh yeah she blew her brains out 6 months earlier, and my brother wouldn't come unless your all white american straight"
--I just thought that it was really sad, and I almost cried when she said that, it explains a lot of why she acts the way she acts! I hope her and Teddy Will Be oK!!!!!!!!

I think the Jinny/Captain scene was cute. Can't wait to see what happens next week between Cpt and Jinny and/or Jinny and Teddy. When it showed her all red faced I started sobbing and I didn't stop 'til the ep was over and the credits were rolling. I'm gonna go watch it again! Know what would've been a cool ending? If Jinny had kept that book where she had to write down all the names of guys that she had slept with and put in Teddy. That would've been so... admirable!

On April 24, 2008, Dana and I are to meet in LA and handcuff ourselves to Nancy McKeon [Jinny Dearest] and Jay Harrington [Teddy Dearest], and you're not. Hahaha!
Jinny: You're a peach.
Jinny: All right, all right, enough! Put your hands up! Look buddy, I've got PMS and a gun,
any questions!?
Jinny: God, she's got a bug up her ass for me.
C.D.: Why?
Jinny: Oh, how should I know? Maybe, I am not her idea of what a lady cop should
look and act like.
C.D.: Did she tell you that?
Jinny: No, everytime she looks at me I get this flashback of my Aunt Irene's expression
when I showed up at my sweet 16 wearing cut offs and a t-shirt saying, "Got any lately?"
Magda: What is that?
Jinny: It's a list of guys that I've slept with, ones I can remember anyway. Our delightful
Captian's idea.
Magda: You're gonna need a bigger book.
Jinny: What do we really know about anybody, ya know? Any cop or Jinny haters here today?! Raise your hand!
Jinny: Captain Amazing here decided to defend his wallet and laptop to the death. It didn't work, but you gotta admire the effort.
Teddy: My whole life was on that laptop.
Jinny: Ooh, sad commentary.
Angela: Did you see his face?
Teddy: White male, 18 to 22, shaved head, dagger tattoo on his wrist. I mean, he caught me by surprise, I could've taken him.

Man, when she said that about her b-day parties I was pretty close to crying. Then she Magda made that remark about "took ya long enought to get here" and she gave that sad look, I almost broke down again. The clincher though that had me as close to tears as I ever get, which is misty, was when she opened the door for Teddy and she was crying. That was so sad http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif I alos felt bad for her when she went to the bar, but when CAP saw her I was just mad. Jinny has rotten luck--I feel so sorry for her! And CAP seemingly has no sympathy for her...

I know I already posted on this subject, but oh well.
I loved this episode. I agree w/the fact maybe Jinny was writing down Teddy's name on the list. (I share the brain too! lol). Anyways, I was really crying at the part about Jinny's family; somehow I knew that'd come up somehow... Now that Lifetime's renewed it for a second (I'm crossing my fingers for a third, fourth, etc., until it even surpasses FOL's run) season, I'm sure we'll get more indepth to what Jinny's family is like. I'm expecting tearjerkers though like this one! Amazing, great episode.

Okay my mom was watching that episode ***sniffles*** and totally didn't understand anything 'cause that was her first episode. I'm still cryin'. Yes and my best friend calls when it's over to see if I made it until that episode. I answered and she asked me what's wrong and I tell her and she thought I went crazy.
The CD Angela thing was cool.
Well Jinny's ruining her life, as we all know. She really really needs to admit she's got a problem. When you saw Kate at the end I just had to think, OMG Jinny's soooo dead.
I think this is the first episode I cried on and I think this is the best episode of "The Division" yet. Hope to see more like this.
Oh and one more thing. When I saw Jinny's face towards the end of the episode I was really balling. I like tear jerkers, but I feel so bad for Jinny.
~~~Hug-A-Tree~~~
P.S. The only actress in the world who could pull off Jinny's part tonight has to be Nancy McKeon. She is so amazing.
Very good episode tonight. Everyone seems to be on the Jinny rampage right now. I'm going to divert a litte attention to the others (Although the Jinny stuff was played out brilliantly.). Lisa Vidal played the prison stuff well. I liked that better then the CD/Angela stuff. The CD/Angela story reminded me of an X-Files from last year when they did a Cops show. Scully played it a lot like they did tonight (liked xf version better!).
On the whole crying issue with Jinny's family: I didn't cry, but I did feel very bad for her. I'm an emotional person in my life, it doesn't take much to set me off, but didn't happen tonight. Although if it lasted much longer then it did I probably would have. Falling asleep at my computer, need to go to bed!
yeah, I remember that X-Files ep. And I loved it! Now I'm really looking forward to see this episode (and the others as well of course. But the more I hear/read and see about this show, the more it's driving me nuts that I can't watch it! SO: PLEASE (begging on my knees here) anybody who taped the eps and can make copies: I'll pay, I just have to have the eps!)
And I guess I'll like the Division version better though (and if only as a matter of principle, because of CD and TN, lol http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif )
Angela: "What's that?"
And i felt sooo bad for Jinny when she came to help Magda and Magda said Took ya long enough there.
Now im sooooo anxious to see the next ep!!! Cant wait.
Wow, I have so much to say about this episode. It was definatly worth the wait!
Lisa Vidal demonstrated her wide range as an actress. I usually don't compliment acting too often in TV shows, but the whole prison thing was excellently done. She really put herself out there! While I am happy that they didn't show the guards roughing her up, as there is already too much gratitious violence on TV, I doubt that they would have kicked the crap out of her then started questioning her about who else was involved. But I think it'll be interesting to see if she has any lasting psychological effects from the prison assignment. Anyone who has ever taken a Psych 101 class can tell you about the Stanford Prison Experiement and how normal people placed in the role of a prisoner felt effects from that for many years to come.
CD and Angela. Story was OK. Interesting twist. I loved how CD chided Angela on what she was wearing for the camera. Very cute!
Capt. Kate had a very realistic reaction to Jinny's drinking. Not everyone is friends with their boss. If one my subordinates had a drinking issue that was affecting their work, I would be more concerned about the work than the person. Sounds shallow, but come on. Capt. Kate is responsible for the lives of all her inspectors, plus countless numbers of civilians out there. She is concerned about their well being, and I don't blame her for feeling worried about having an inspector who can legally carry a gun and is trashed.
Now, Jinny and Teddy. Nancy's drunk walk at the end was well coreographed. Nancy also had an excellent manicure! I say Nancy and not Jinny because Jinny isn't exactly the type of gal to get her nails done. Where were you on that one, wardrobe designers? In any case, I need me a new manicure. Nancy's looked great! Jinny, honey, I would have booted you out to the curb for that performance in front of family and closest friends. Either Teddy is in love or he is a glutton for punishment. I don't get it, because they were all being nice to her. I one time got hammered while meeting a boyfriend's parents, but that was because his mother immediatly said, "So, how is my son in bed? I mean, the sex must be pretty great because I can't imagine why a girl like you would go slumming with a boy like him." But that's a different story.... And Teddy, I no longer am sweet on you. The hairy chest kind of creeps me out. Plus, you don't grow a very nice 5 o'clock shadow. All patchy and stuff. ICK.
Capt. Kate had a hilarious line at the beginning, when asked what the biggest change was. We have our own bathroom. Classic!
overall that was an awesome episode!
cd-angela: that was an intresting story line like somone had already mentioned but i enjoyed it and i was cracking up when angela tried to look all preety for the camara! and then at the end shes like "shut up cd!"
Captain- yea, well i always have been able to stand her and i really think that she is doing a good job with her character and i also am very excited and aniticpate to see how the whole jinny/cap thing works out
Jinny/Magda- i was like really intrigued by there case and i was really scared for magda when she was in the prison...excellent acting done on her part..kudos to her! as someone had already mentioned i think the first bump in their partnership happened but I mean i dont really know how i would have reacted i mean if u were jinny would you know that magda was in trouble?
Jinny: jinny's life thats harsh, i was so like asd when she was telling teddy and man shes gonna be in trouble when she goes to work, cuz of cap who saw her! and last night when i couldnt fall sleep i started to think bout the division and when she said her mom blew her brains out that line kept playing over in my ehad i was no thats soo sad!
Jinny: They all start laughing at you. I mean we're not talking little girly giggles ,Theodore. We are talking ear splitting humiliation inducing derition here!"
That line was playing over in my head last night too. Likemay people have said, I felt really sorry for Jinny when Mag said, "What the hell took you son long?" Oh God, I just melted when she said that. But I never knew that Jin's mom killed herself, I though she just died from something...
Jinny: Oh, yes. Actually... I bought a dress.
Teddy: You did?
Jinny: There is no guarantee, however, that I am going to wear it.
Teddy: So, uh... I don't know. What else did you buy?
Jinny: How do you know I bought you anything for your birthday? Maybe I plan on knitting you a sweater or... give you something much more organic.
Teddy: Well, you do give good organic.
Teddy: I'm gonna pick you up at six, sharp. *kisses Jinny* What's this dress look like anyway?
Jinny: Oh, yeah, OK. Low cut, skin tight, animal print, ruffle at the bottom. Don't you have lawyering to do?
Teddy: Be honest with me, not my parents!
Jinny: All right, fine. You want honesty? Why don't you let me tell you a little bit about my family? See, I never really had a birthday party unless you wanna count my 15th, when my father showed up for cake, plastered in his underwear! Oh... yeah, by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because, well, sadly, six months earlier she blew her brains out!!!!!
Teddy: Jinny, my God.
Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me, a few weeks ago when I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.
Teddy: Stop.
Jinny: Ya know what? This is who I am, this is my family!!!! Come on, it's your turn. Go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter!
Jinny: Captain Amazing here decided to defend his wallet and laptop to the death. It didn't work, but you gotta admire the effort.
Here's a question for you to ponder... Did Jinny see her mom shoot herself, find her, or hear about it? That would be a good fic for someone.
Jinny finding her mother's body would be an interesting concept. I think she must have been really close with her mother. I was wondering if maybe Jinny's dad cheated on her mom, or if he had relationships after Jinny's mom died that left a sour taste in Jinny's mouth. ...She's been through alot...
i think the episode was very well written, and they should make more episodes like that. I think everyone here agrees with me when I say it was the best one this season! Also did Jinny and Teddy break up, did Jinny break up with him with the note hse wrote to him. And also I felt really bad about her whole bday thing, but the other parts were also really good especially the magda scene, I did also feel bad for Jinny when mag's like to you long enough. I think Jinny's going to do something worse in the other episodes because she feels she's letting everyone down, well just my opinion, does anyone else agree, and also after cap gets through w/her I think she's going to do something!BEST EPISODE!!!!!!
i think yall are looking at what magda said to jinny at the end, the wrong way. i think maybe the reason jinny may have looked sad, because maybe magda was hinting that the reason they took so long, had something to do with jinny's drinking.
I loved the entire CD/Angela/Reporter storyline. It was great when CD took notice of Angela's new outfit and the amount of lipstick she was wearing. Classic!
Poor Jinny :-( I feel extremely bad for her! When she told Teddy about her mother's death, it was so sad. Did anyone see the way Jinny looked at the end when she was at the bar with her head down and she took a drink and then wiped her mouth? I just thought that was so sad! When she wiped her mouth, there was this lost, melancholy expression on her face. And when the Cap saw her stumbling down the sidewalk drunk, I felt so bad! But why do some of you think that the Cap will lash out on Jinny because she saw her drunk? If anything, I think that the Cap will have sympathy for her. Can't wait to see what happens with Jinny and the Cap.
Magda would make a good convict! Lisa's performance was so convincing. Whenever Jinny and the other cops broke into that room just as Magda and that one woman were going to get into a fight, I was like "YEAH!" That was awesome. Once again, I felt bad for Jinny whenever Magda said "Where have you been?" I agree that this will cause Jinny to believe that she (Jinny) is a useless failure.
