Listening to the Raindrops
Who are the Raindrops you ask? Well there weren't a real group. They were songwriters Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich who recorded a demo of a song called "What A Guy" for the Sensaations. Anyhow it was thought to be so good that Jubille records put it out as a single and it became a minor hit, and the Raindrops were born. They did have one big hit in 1963 with "The Kind of Boy You Cant Forget". I recently picked up a CD comp of theirs that was done by this British label called Edsel. It has their one LP from 1963(which I have a copy of), and some extra tracks. The Raindrops(or Jeff & Ellie) did a lot of songs they wrote that became hits for others like "Hanky Panky", "Da Do Run Run" and "Do Wah Diddy Diddy". Guess what Jeff and Ellie are not only great songwriters, but good singers too.

Detroit by The Love Me Nots. Its their second CD. They are a band out of Arizona who recorded their latest release in Detroit(hence the title). They are a garage revival band, by that they are laregly inspired by 60's garage rock and try to play with that feel.

Thats from their first LP, and should give you an idea on their sound.
