If you are referring to the new tracks on Sara's GH album, I think they are really good. I especially like "As if". My only problem with her hits album is that I think she should have included more music on it. There is only an hour worth of songs on it.

Andy Gibb - After Dark
Even though I don't have any of Andy's studio albums (I think they are currently out of print), I have Andy Gibb: The Millennium Collection, and three of the best songs (the title track, "Desire" and "I Can't Help It") on the CD are from the After Dark album. I especially love "Desire" It is a great vocal performance. I think Andy is one of the greatest tragedies of drug addiction in pop music history. He could have had such a sucsessful career.

You know what, I think I did. I remember that it mentioned that by 1988 Andy was living in a guest house on Robin's estate and on the morning that he died he and Barry had a huge argument. It is really sad. I also think when God gives you a talent it is your responsibity to take care of it. Which you can't really do if you are no longer living.

I don't actually have that CD since I have pretty much all of their CDs and two previous greatest hits albums (Aerosmith Greatest Hits from 1980 and Big Ones from 1994), but I've seen it and it looks like a nice collection. The only songs not on it that should have been included are "Kings and Queens" and "Come Together".

The Essential Heart
There is only one Heart song that I like. It is the one about the boy being lost in the rain or something. I remember it came out around 1990 when I was in junior high school.

There is only one Heart song that I like. It is the one about the boy being lost in the rain or something. I remember it came out around 1990 when I was in junior high school.
That would be 1990's "All I Want To Do Is Make Love To You", written by Mutt Lange. Here are the lyrics:
It was a rainy night
When he came into sight,
Standing by the road,
No umbrella, no coat.
So I pulled up alongside
And I offered him a ride.
He accepted with a smile,
So we drove for a while.
I didn't ask him his name,
This lonely boy in the rain.
Fate, tell me it's right,
Is this love at first sight?
Please don't make it wrong,
Just stay for the night.
All I wanna do is make love to you
Say you will
You want me to
All I wanna do is make love to you
I've got lovin' arms to hold on to
So we found this hotel,
It was a place I knew well
We made magic that night.
Oh, he did everything right
He brought the woman out of me,
So many times, easily
And in the morning when he woke all
I left him was a note
I told him
I am the flower you are the seed
We walked in the garden
We planted a tree
Don't try to find me,
Please don't you dare
Just live in my memory,
You'll always be there
All I wanna do is make love to you
One night of love was all we knew
All I wanna do is make love to you
I've got lovin' arms to hold on to
Oh, oooh, we made love
Love like strangers
All night long
We made love
Then it happened one day,
We came round the same way
You can imagine his surprise
When he saw his own eyes
I said please, please understand
I'm in love with another man
And what he couldn't give me
Was the one little thing that you can
All I wanna do is make love to you
One night of love was all we knew
All I wanna do is make love to you
Say you will, you want me to
All night long
All night long
All night long
All night long

^ Yep, that's the one. :) I'm not surprised to see that Mutt Lange wrote it. That man is a genius.

I have to admit that my favorite Mutt Lange song is "Do You Believe In Love" performed by Huey Lewis & the News.

I didn't know that he wrote that one either. Even though I do not like Huey Lewis, I do like that song. I remember writing a story in 1998 called "Falling For Amy" in which I actually used a few lyrics from that song.

^ The Bee Gees' 60s Collection is a good one. They really did sound/write a lot like the Beatles back in those days - not that it's a bad thing!

I think on the 60's Collection they sounded more like the Everly Brothers than the Beatles. As I mentioned in my other post, I enjoyed the CD but found the songs to be a little too bubble gumish if you know what they mean. The songs also lacked the more sophisticated songwriting of their post 1967 music.
