In a manual I got with my player, it says that the player can play only Region 1 DVDs. What I'm wondering is, are all DVDs marketed in the United States Region 1s?

I think that the U.S. and Canada are both part of Region 1, so it would seem (in my opinion) that all U.S. discs are region 1 versions.
