Hands down: nancy is the show....
she was so good, and funny. i loved the karate thing, i loved her character, she is a little like jo, tho, blair would b proud.
(loved the dancer show, when she said about alot of jobs going on inside the club, and she did the jo laugh, lol)

if this show goes off the air, nancy will not have to worry, she still has it.
glad i taped them both.

Blair: Doing what?
Jo: Singing it like Julie Andrews.

The whole karate scene was sort of a departure from the character they introduced us to in the pilot.... I can't help but to wonder if that was Nancy's idea to stick that in there. I guess it's early enough into the series that they can develop the character that way, but I would've thought that she'd grab that kettle one bottle she was holding.

Yep, the karate scene didn't seem to fit in. For someone that was having such a problem with men and the bottle(karate teaches self esteem and the people I know that do karate would not have her problems) it seems she should've reached for a drink to stay consistent with her character.

I couldn't agree more! Nancy definately makes the show - I love her character!! She's without a doubt the most intresting character on the show. I think that the karate scene may have served as a plot device to add to the complexity of her character, how she is still sorta confused and to show her many different sides, and how they are constantly conflicting. Ya know, like drinking then trying to take control w/ the karate, then losing it again etc., then see how her character approaches different situations while in the different moods. Ya know what I mean? Tell me if you agree! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Back to the topic, though, She still is a great actress and definatey makes the show. I can't wait to see more!

you guys- the karate scene was her idea and i think it fit in quite well. you say all this about a person taking karate not having all these problems, but think of it this way: cops have to learns self-defense, right? so in the show, she might not put her all into karate, so she could have thaose flaws. she would still know how to defend herself, but it doesn't mean she has to be perfect and flawless. how boring would that be?

Jinny:I had a plant once.......It didn't make it.

Jinny:Will you stop grabbing my a**, before I gotta kick yours!

Jinny:Captain, my I speak freely?

Jinny:When are you gonna get off my a**?
Captain:Maybe when it's not on backwards!
