"The Facts of Life: A Second Reunion"...(Please Read and Respond!)

Okay you guys, here is the first part of my fan fiction, “The Facts of Life: A Second Reunion”. I hope you like it! (If you want a cast list then you can find one in the preview post for this story.) Enjoy!!

P.S. – I want to make this reunion like a REAL second reunion would be. Therefore, I will call Tootie what she wanted to be called in the first one- Dorothy…people will mistake her for Tootie though!

THE FACTS OF LIFE…A Second Reunion

(The theme song from seasons 2-8 begin to play without any words..just the music.)

Dorothy Williams (or Tootie) was driving her daughter, Tisha to school on a cold winter morning. Tisha was wearing the classic maroon Eastland girl’s uniform, and had her hair in two long pigtails. “So…you like Eastland better than your old school?” Dorothy asked. “Definetely.” Tisha responded. “I have more friends there then I ever did at my old school.” She continued. “Well, I’m glad. You talk to Jamie and Sam right?” Dorothy asked. “Yeah! Also Katie and Sarah.” Tisha said. “They’re two other girls we met.” She stated. “You never told me who you shared a dorm with, though.” Dorothy said as she stopped on a red light. “Oh, Jamie!” Tisa explained. “Really?? That’s great hun! See, you didn’t even have to dorm with a complete stranger.” Dorothy said as she continued to drive. Tisha smiled.

The theme song stopped playing and Dorothy parked her car. “Alright now you have a good day.” She said. “Thanks Mom. See ya.” Tisha said as she shut her car door and walked inside Eastland. Dorothy looked up at the building and smiled, thinking of her memories there.

Since the Thanksgiving Reunion that took place last year was a success, Mrs. Garett, Blair, Natalie, Tootie, and even Jo had decided to have another one…a Christmas reunion, which would take place on Christmas Day. The four girls had promised to be there with their husbands and children, and so did Mrs. Garett. The reunion would be in the same place where the last one was – Blair’s Hotel in Peekskill. However, this time, the guest list extended far more. Everybody would be invited. Sue Anne, Cindy, Molly, Nancy, even Andy and Pippa! Beverly Anne also said she would come. George the Handyman and Geri (Blair’s cousin) promised to be there also. This time, it would be a REAL Eastland reunion. And nobody could wait until Christmas Day, when it all took place.

Thanks for the great comments, heres a little more..

Blair Warner Warner, still the president of her father's hotel chain, woke up to the cry of a newborn baby. She let out a sigh and looked at the alarm clock to read 3:56 AM. She walked over to the babies cradle and picked it up, trying to comfort it. "Aww..don't cry Rachel, dont cry". She said as she began to rock it in her arms. Tad Warner, still asleep, tossed and turned. He woke up slightly. "Rachels crying again?" he asked and yawned. "Yep." Blair responded. "You want your ba ba? I'll give you your ba ba." she said, meaning bottle. She gave Rachel her bottle and she drank it, still being held in Blair's arms.

The next day, Edna Garett sat in her home in Peekskill. She was watching television when all of the sudden the phone rang. She picked it up. "Hello?" she said. "Mrs. Garett? Hey! It's Jo!" said the voice on the other line. "Jo! How are you? Your still coming to the reunion, right?" Mrs. Garett asked. "Rick, Jamie and I are doing great. And yeah we're still coming to the reunion! This time nothings gonna stop me." she said as the two laughed. "I can't wait!" Mrs. Garett explained. "Who else is definetely coming?" Jo asked. "Well me, you, Blair, Tootie..oops, I mean Dorothy, and Natalie are. So is Raymond. Beverly Anne may come. Pippa and Andy might come, they aren't sure." she said. "What about Sue Ann, Molly, Cindy, and Nancy?" Jo asked. "Well, none of them responded yet. They should respond soon." Mrs. Garett said. "I can't wait. Well, I better be going. I gotta pick Jamie up from Eastland. See ya." she said, as the two hung up.

Here is some more like I promised you!

Natalie and Harper sat in their hotel room in the Bahamas. They were on their honeymoon, and were having a great time. "Harper, I love you." Natalie said. "I love you too Natalie." Harper responded. "I can't wait until the reunion. Last year's reunion was great!" Natalie said, excited. "Guess what? Jo will be there this time!!" Natalie continued. "Who is Jo?" Harper asked. "Jo's one of the girls who I went to school with. She couldn't go to the reunion last year." Natalie said. Suddenly, the phone rang.

Harper picked it up. "Hello?" he answered. "Natalie, it's for you." he said to her and handed it the phone. "It's Mrs. Garett". Natalie took it. "Mrs. Garett? Mrs. Garett..what's wrong?" Mrs. Garett was crying on the other line. Natalie all of the sudden dropped the phone lightly after hearing what she had said on the other line.

"Nat? Nat what's wrong?" Harper asked concerned. Natalie began to softly cry. "Pippa..dead" She stated.

"I don't believe this." Natalie said after hanging up the phone with Mrs. Garett. "Pippa..the exchange student from Australia..dead." she stated as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Aww..hunny feel better. Don't cry." Harper said. "How did it happen?" He asked. "She was in a car accident. She was the only one in the car." Natalie said. "The car flipped over and was totalled." she continued. "Will there still be the reunion?" Harper asked curiously. "I don't know.." Natalie responded.

Meanwhile, the phone rang at Blair's hotel. She answered. It was Tootie. "Hello, The Little Inn Hotel." she said. "Blair? Did you hear about Pippa?" Tootie immediately asked. Blair was quiet. "Yes..I did.."Blair responded. "I can hardly believe it." Tootie said. "Neither can I" Blair said. "Have you talked to Natalie or Jo lately?" Tootie asked. "I talked to Jo but not Natalie. I tried calling her, it was busy." Blair said. "I sure hope we are still having the reunion Blair." said Tootie. "Me too." Blair said.

Beverly Anne Sickle sat on her couch with Andy, her son. Both were crying. "When's the funeral, ma?" Andy asked. "Sometime next week. I don't know excactly." Beverly Anne responded. "But mom that's the week of Christmas!" Andy exlaimed. "And the week of the reunion." he continued. Beverly Anne sighed. "I know." she said and wiped the tears from her eyes. "Does that mean the reunion is gonna be cancelled?" Andy asked. "I don't know, I have to talk to Edna." she said. "I'm going to call her in a little while. "She said and got up".

Andy had the image in his mind of first meeting Pippa. He remembered the knock on the door at night and seeing the girl from Australia. He remembered all of the memories he had with her. He began crying all over again.

George Burnett sat down in his chair in his home with a bag of chips, and started watching the football game. "Dammit!" he yelled when the other team scored. He did not know yet about Pippa. Afterall, he never did know her. He, too was planning to go to the Christmas Reunion next week. He got up and walked into his kitchen which seemed to be extremely small. Like any single man's kitchen. Suddenly the phone rang. It was his turn to know the news.

Here is more for you all:

Blair Warner Warner sat on her couch, cradling baby Rachel. The phone rang. "Tad, darling..could you get that?" she asked. Tad answered. "Hello?" he asked. It was Mrs. Garett. "Hunny, here, it's for you." he said. He took Rachel and Blair took the phone. "Hello? Hi Mrs. Garett.." she said. "Blair, I have bad news. The reunion must be cancelled." she stated. Blair was astonished. "What?! Mrs. G, you can't do that! We were all looking forward to it!" she said. "Blair, I am just not in the spririt for a Eastland Christmas now after what happened to Pippa." she said. "Yeah but we can't let that stop us. I know that this..tragedy is upsetting..but PLEASE..let us still have a reunion."

None of the first year girls would be contacted about Pippa, since none of them new her. The only way they would be contacted is if Mrs. Garett decided to definetely cancel the reunion. Blair was hoping that she had convinced Mrs. Garett to let the reunion go on, but she did not know. So she decided to call her best friend, Jo.

"Hi Rick, can I talk to Jo?" Blair asked. "Yeah, one sec" said Rick. Rick handed Jo the phone. "Ye-llow?" she asked. "Jo? It's Blair." Blair said. "Hey Blair..what's up?" Jo asked. "Mrs. Garett may cancel the reunion." Blair responded. "What? Why?! Wait..lemme guess, because of Pippa." Jo said. "Yup." said Blair. "I know that what happened with her is extremely depressing..but I don't see how we could just let it stop us from having a reunion. I mean, the reunion would make things BETTER by showing us we have each other even though Pippa is gone." Blair said. "Yeah, and being able to be together would make us happy and take our minds off of what happened."Jo said. "I don't know." Blair said. "I can tell you this though, if the reunion is cancelled then I MYSELF will organize a get to gether. No matter what." said Blair. "Yea, and I'll help you." said Jo. "Good." announced Blair. The two then hung up.

"Mom..who was Pippa anyway?" Tisha asked her mother, Dorothy/Tootie in their home. "Hunny, Pippa was one of our friends. She was an Australian exchange student. I'm so..upset shes dead." her mother responded. "Don't be upset mom. I hate when your like that." Tisha said. Dorothy smiled. Well, at least we know that Pippa's up there somewhere smiling down on us right now." said Dorothy "Yeah..I think that she is." Tisha said. The two smiled back at each other.

Wouldn't Tad & Blair have a ton of nannies for their baby? Also, don't forget to write in their male friend from the show. I don't mean Clooney, I mean Cassidy!! Ryan Cassidy(yes related) portrayed college student Kevin Metcalf who was permitted to move into the attic above Edna's Edibles because his father Ted was Mrs.G.'s boyfriend. He disappeared after only a handful of episodes & we were eventually stuck with "Goofy George".
