OH Nuts!

Didn't mean to jump ahead but now that I have the whole enchilada, so to speak, I just had to see this one NOW.
The jockey being honored w the cup may have had 4,961 victories but Lucy surely has very few in this ep. Boy does she make a mess of things, even for her. Well Ricky, you asked for it--you shouldn't have suggested the Loving Cup would make a better hat. YOU should have known Lucy would try it on. And don't shout at Lucy it echoes in there! Stalwart Ethel takes her zany friend to the silversmith but Lucy gets lost in the shuffle and is shuffled back on the train to Bklyn. The physical comedy on the train as she wonders around bumping into things and miming reading a paper is priceless. And why do have all that canned laugher? YOU DON'T NEED IT--everyone is pretty much assured to guffaw at the antics which abound. I love when she gets off the train and you see a young Sandra Gould (Abnah, Abnah, there's a crazy lady on the platform who wants someone to call her husband...OOPS...that's another show:lol: ). Finally a helpful policman gets Lucy to the banquet on time--but the cup's still on her head--so the accomplished jockey gets two gifts--the cup and Lucy. And Ricky isn't even really surprised at this new mess--I guess after 5 seasons he used to it. At least she doesn't have to 'splain this one:crazy:
The wonderful physical comedy, never before seen, the freshness, virtually every ep a cornacopia of comedy--the fine bluepirnt for future shows and stars, no wonder the show is so iconic. On another thread, someone asked posters to list their 100 favorite shows ever. I'm working on my list (and putting a lot of thought into it)--but one things for sure--this show stands above all others and is hereby crowned #1 on my list--All In The Family #2--the other 98 TBD. Think of this as my cyber Loving Cup to the show.
