More detailed plot...

Also, the WURG team all end up in Kelly's house cornering a fierce raccoon in the attic

It seems like it's gonna be a funny episode . . . with the entire WURG team together at Kelly's house, you know something hilarious is gonna happen. This is the first "home" episode since the Pilot, I believe, and it sounds good. A Good way for us to see how the team can work together outside the newsroom.

Kind of reminds me of all the episodes of Murphy Brown where the FYI team has to work together, usually to help Murphy do something . . .

it was just an okay episode. I had a few laughs, but it was nothing special, really. I did like the scene at the end, with them trying to catch that damn raccoon. Plus, when Ryan went in the attic and saw the raccoon-LOL.

I hope it did well in the ratings. Let's hope this time it beat out Til Death . . . god I really hate that show.

^Ryan and the Raccoon were hilarious. I wish they had showed the guys when they were bowling, I bet that would have been funny.

Here's what I found on a ratings site. It was close.

I enjoyed the show, but didn't love it, although when Ryan saw the raccoon, I was LMAO. He's hilarious. It had some good laughs. I thought Patricia Heaton looked extra pretty for some reason.

God damn, that's awesome! Right now it got a million more than it did last week, and it's best airing since the Pilot. I'm sure these aren't exactly right . . . we should wait until the final numbers come out.

Can you believe Til Death beat it again? That show is worse than watching any government access programming for 6 hours straight! It's cast can't act, yet it's doing better than BTY.

Yeah, didn't love it, but still good. I also noticed Patricia looked great in this episode. Don't know why, but she looked great.

It might have been seeing her in casual clothes, but it was her face really. Patrica has been very upfront about her cosmetic surgery, and I admire her candor, so perhaps she just had a few shots of botox. That, with a little sun, and that lady looked like she was 33 years old, lol. She's simply a beautiful woman.

Yeah . . . she looks 10 years younger now than she did on ELR. There is no way I'd ever guess she's 50.

It was a good episode. It started out pretty slow, but seemed to gain momentum as the episode went along. I really liked Ryan in this episode.

I hear what you are saying, but remember, last season it had the benefit of airing with American Idol, so it got a lot more exposure.

That's true. But Julie, it only beat Back To You by a landslide.

Did you guys hear that they're going to air encores of Back To You after the Idol results show this Winter/Spring? I don't understand why they wouldn't just air the NEW episodes after the Idol show, and encores on another night. We all know the encores are bound to bring in bigger numbers. I don't understand people sometimes.

It was a good episode. It started out pretty slow, but seemed to gain momentum as the episode went along. I really liked Ryan in this episode.
I liked in the beginning when he was telling them to stretch the segment ot, and they had no clue what he was saying. And it was hilarious when he screamed because the raccoon was coming down the latter from the attic!

Kelly was especially good in this episode. I liked when she told Montana "Your the weather girl!" (when Montana says she had no idea it was going to rain. LOL). I liked that she finally let Chuck do something for Gracie, even if the original cake was destroyed and he brought a lemon one to a kids birthday party. I started laughing when they moved the couch, and she got all excited (and scared them!) when she found her remote control. That was such a random thing (I would have gotten excited too though!). I felt bad when her couch caught on fire. And then she lost her chance at a date with the girls father. And I agree with everyone who said Patty looked really pretty in the episode. She's always pretty, but she was especially pretty this past week. I'm glad she darkened her hair a little bit. The lighter look in the first few episodes looked a little much.

I'm glad to see the writers keep "toying" with the supporting cast. Again, Ryan notices something between Chuck and Kelly; "Why are YOU getting Gracie's cake?" It's kind of becoming a running gag.

Speaking of Ryan, the raccoon scaring him, then him falling down on the guys was classic. He hurt Chuck's nose, Gary's back (as if Gary doesn't have enough problems!), and gave Marsh a concussion. LOL

This is one of, if not my favorite episode of the show so far. I really liked seeing the entire cast together. They're always split up in two and three's, but this episode had them all together for the main story. And all of them just hanging out, eating cake at the end was nice.

My favorite line of the night came from Marsh: "I figured to grab the wheel and flip the car over. Any votes?" LOL

I believe they only have 1 new episode left. If the strike lasts, then they're going to air the repeats after Idol. If the strke ends, then they'll air new episodes after Idol. But if the strike does last, I think it's a good idea to air the repeats after Idol, because people that never saw the episodes will get a second chance to watch.

I like this episode best so far. It got them out of the studio. It showed them bonding on a deeper level than just work mates. The slapstick element was great. If they can do it as well as it was done in this episode, they certainly should incorporate more. The actor who plays Ryan seems to have a flair for it.

They should get out of the studio more. Allowing the audience to see the cast in their off work persona should help the show. It makes the characters seem more real, three dimensional. Kelly does have a house. She has issues, a lost remote, a pest, etc. She is not always dolled up. Chucks not always in a suit, etc.

I did notice the characters were less three dimensional in this episode. It seems like the writers were trying to do their best to branch out the characters more. I really don't mind the home scenes at all. I think it gives something to the show rather than being stuck in the office the entire time.

Exactly, it's always good to have home scenes blended in with the workplace stuff. It helps to develop the characters more and more.

Exactly. If they're stuck in the office the entire episode, there's only so much the writers can do.
