Hey! I got it! Why don't they run a marathon of ILL's least-liked episodes? That would really please true fans! They could alternate between "Scotland," "Drafted," "Orson Welles," "Dedicating a Statue," etc., and if they need to fill time slots, they could just repeat those over and over. They could even do episode marathons where they just play the same episode 5 or 6 times in a row so we could really get into it. ;)
What other episodes could be included? They could call it "ILLLLE," (I Love Lucy's Least-Liked Episodes). The only problem is, no one could stay up watching all night because they would be asleep after a couple of episodes! :faint:

It is actually TVland that does that crap. The other night I couldn't sleep, I watched TVland to watch Good Times and they started Good Times at 2:55 a.m. I have read on this board it is so you can't tape, which is dumb because what abt people who want to TiVo? I tend to scan stations to find something stomachable. Whether it is N@N, TVLand, Oxygen, Hallmark or CW, I tend to watch the best show on at the time. If nothing is worthwhile, I'll throw in a DVD of ILL, LDCH, Bewitched, Brady Bunch, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Popeye, Ozzie & Harriet, Roseanne or Superman.
Sorry TV! You don't have much to offer.

Ozzie and Harriet? Have you ever noticed that for the laugh track on that show, they use the same laugh every time and in every episode? Sometimes they stretch it out and make it longer, or speed it up so it's shorter, or raise the volume or lower the volume, but it's still the same laugh. I haven't seen that show in about 25 years but I can still hear that laugh in my head. My brother and I to this day both remember it and (as an inside joke) still imitate it to eachother.

Yep! I agree. I only have four episdodes that I bought at a discount store. The laugh track is lame, and I hate how they have cheesy music playing along during the show. Really bad.
I would like to buy the series with good quality, but as of now, that's impossible. Just like when I purchase the Lucy Show in the bargain bin. That's the only choice I have.

Ozzie and Harriet apparently operated on a very tight budget. It was on ABC, which in those days was a struggling network with low viewership. It wasn't until Bewitched came along that ABC finally had a big Top Ten hit and people started taking note of the network. But they kept Ozzie and Harriet going for 16 years! As for The Lucy Show, let's hope that after this I Love Lucy complete series release, Paramount will start season-by-season releases of The Lucy Show.

Ya know, Rich, that's a good point! I watch about 4 stations and see the same programs over and over. I am not one for modern shows. I probably wouldn't miss too much, although I would have to buy the entire series of Little House on the Prairie since that is one of my daytime staples.
I already have all of ILL, the Brady Bunch, the Honeymooners, and seasons 1-3 of Roseanne, Bewitched and Rocky and Bullwinkle. Add to that seasons 1-4 of Superman and a volume of classic Popeye and 30 eps. of The Lucy Show.
Not to mention the 33 Hitchcock DVDs I have or the other 100+ movies (mostly old).

Even though as my avatar proudly proclaims, I am a hard core Adv. Of O & H fan. Despite this, though, I'm the first to admit the show is an acquired taste. And YES, some stuff on the show like the laugh track was very corny. Because the series went on for such a long time, 14 seasons, there are peaks and valleys. Seasons 4 & on were my favs, and there were some characters on the show I could have lived without like Joe Randolph and the Tigers. What really made the show for me was Rick & Dave, their wives and Miss Edwards. Harriet also had an exquisite sense of timing and a wry humor that appealed to me. So....when it's hot it's hot & when it's not it's not! And as much as I love O & H, it is not an iconic show like I Love Lucy. And for that I love I Love Lucy a bit more than O & H. But I love them both.
