tootie: yea!! i know!! and im supposed to have mrs. garrett sign it, they think cuz i dont live at eastland anymore that thats the reason i dont get geometry!! is it my fault that im dumb!!
nat: Tootie your not dumb!! but what are you going to do? mrs. garrett will ground you when she finds out your failing!! We've been planning to go to a movie sometime this week!! we ahvent done anything forever!!
Tootie: I know! what shoudl i do?
Jo: (sitting at a table reading a book interupts) Sign it for her!!
Tootie: shed kill me if she found out i did that!!
Jo: So waht your already in trouble for failing!! (gets up and goes to the counter and grabs a piece of paper, walks to tootie and grabs her test, sets them both on the counter and writes edna garrett on tooties test while looking at the other sheet of paper)
Totoie: Jo waht are you doing?
JO: well this is an order form carbon copy that has mrs. gs signature on it! im copying it for you!!
Tootie: jo... i dont know...
jo: (gives it back to tootie and goes to bring other sheet back to the counter)
Tootie: its doesnt look... wow that looks real!!!
Jo: i know i do beautiful work!! (tryign to put the sheet back int eh stack)
Mrs. G: (walks in and sees jo looking at her stack of papers) Jo waht are you doing?
Jo: Nothing! Just wanted to make sure you ordered anough horch radish, we're almost out!
Mrs. G: (puzzled look) ok...well i think i ordered some more... heres some more crossoints (has two pans one on each arm)
Nat: Great! (gets through costumers to help mrs. garrett)

Blair: (walks in) Hi all!! wow we're buisy!! (sees 5 customers)

mrs. G: (scared look on her face) what!?!?!? (says scared and soft) is she sure?!?
Blair: No, she said that shes been sick in the morning and has all the signs! (thinks about it and sighs) i shouldnt have todl you! Jo woudl kill me if she found out i did!!
Mrs. G: blair dont worry! I won't say anything, but Jo needs to see a doctor and find out if she is, get her to go see one!!
Blair: Ok (pauses and thinks)
Mrs. G: oh blair! (puts her hand over her shoulder and kinda comforts her) i think you did a good thing by telling me if she wasnt going to!!
Blair: yea well, i should go help Natalie and tootie! (leaves)
Mrs. G: (sits on couch with a scared and worried look on her face)

mrs. G: Hi jo! (gets up) wahts up? (tries not to show that she knows)

Mrs. G: Oh i see!! well, your still grounded for a week!! starting tomorrow!
tootie: why tomorrow? why not today?
Mrs. G: well i know you and natalie were planning your night out all week! (smiles) but just because i did this once don't expect it to happen all the time!! i'm feeling extra generous today!! (smiles to self and says sternly) Now start working!! (scrubs counter)
tootie: thanks mrs. garrett! (whips tables)
Blair: anybody know whats up with Jo lately?
mrs. g; no, why?
blair: shes been avoiding me!!
Nat: wath else is new?
Blair: No!! its not like she usually does! its different!
mrs. g: well why dont you go up and talk to her? we'll cover down here for you!
Blair: (smiles) thanks, i will! (leaves the room)
Nat: tootie do you wanna meet for lunch at 12:30 tomorrow?
Tootie: yea, i'll be there at 12:30!!
nat: ok!
Tootie: ok mrs. garrett so i think me and nat are going to see a movie tonight
Mrs. G: ok! just odnt be home too late! a reasonable time tonight! its a school night after all!
Nat: dont worry!
tootie: we will!!
----Girl's bedroom----
Blair: (walks in) Hi jo!
JO: (sitting on bed with knees to chin) Hi (says glumly)
blair: I have a lot of homework so mrs. garrett let me ahve the afternoon off!! (lies and sits on bed)
Jo: thats nice! (glumly)
Blair: Jo? wahts wrong? does this have to do with bob? (says concerened)
Jo: no!! its doesnt ahve to do with bob!! well kinda, Blair, can i trust you? (sits on the edge of bed)
Blair: yes!! what is it?
jo: (looks down) I think i'm pregnant...
Blair; (shocked) What!?!?!? (says softly) are you sure?!?!?
Jo: I dont know, I dont remember having sex, but then again i was pretty drunk last weekend when me and bob were at that party, it coudl be possible but i dont think so!!! but i mean im sick in the mornings and i have all the signs!
Blair: well, jo (pauses) I dont know what to say!
Jo: Me niether!! I dont know waht to do! what if i really am pregnant!?!?
Blair: Jo, you gotta tell Mrs. Garrett! she can take you to a doctor!
Jo: I dont know what to say to her!! (pretends to be talking to mrs. g) oh hi mrs. g can you take me to a doctor i think i may be pregnant!!
Blair: Jo!! You need to tell her!!
Jo: No i dont Blair!! (shouts at Blair) And dont you tell her either!! i'll figure something out!! just leave me alone!! Please!! (shouts and points at the door)
Blair: (sighs and leaves)

Blair: (walks in with a "waht do i do" look)
Mrs. G: Blair waths wrong!?!?
Blair: uhh... (thinks to self) Mrs. Garrett can we go talk? please?
mrs. G: (looks worried) um yea (puts dishcloth down) lets go in the living toom (leads Blair)
----Living Room----
mrs. G and Blair: (sit on couch)
Mrs. G: Ok Blair what's wrong? Did you work things out with Jo?
Blair: yea, I guess (pauses) look Mrs. Garrett, Jo told me not to tell you, but since she wont tell you herself i think you need to hear it from somebody! (looks down)
mrs. G: Blair?? (puzzled yet concerned look)
Blair: ok there's no easy way to say this (pauses) but Jo thinks (pauses again) Jo thinks shes pregnant...
mrs. G: (scared look on her face) what!?!?!? (says scared and soft) is she sure?!?
Blair: No, she said that shes been sick in the morning and has all the signs! (thinks about it and sighs) i shouldnt have todl you! Jo woudl kill me if she found out i did!!
Mrs. G: blair dont worry! I won't say anything, but Jo needs to see a doctor and find out if she is, get her to go see one!!
Blair: Ok (pauses and thinks)
Mrs. G: oh blair! (puts her hand over her shoulder and kinda comforts her) i think you did a good thing by telling me if she wasnt going to!!
Blair: yea well, i should go help Natalie and tootie! (leaves)
Mrs. G: (sits on couch with a scared and worried look on her face)
Jo: (comes down the starits) Hi mrs. g!!
mrs. G: Hi jo! (gets up) wahts up? (tries not to show that she knows)
Jo: Oh nothing, just thought that i would help out in the store even though i dont ahve to, i have nothing else to do anyways! (goes into store)
*camera follows jo into store*

Jo: (walks in) Hi guys! I thought I'd help out! (goes to get apron and puts it on)
Tootie: Great! we coudl use some help stocking!! Mrs. Garretts order came in this afternoon! (hands jo some jars to put on shelf)
Jo: (puts jars on shelf)
Mrs. G: (walks in, look at blair and puts her hands on her shoulders while passing, then goes into kitchen)
Blair: hey Jo, do you wanna go do soemthing tonight?
JO: No!! (shouts) I mean not really!! (says calmer)
Blair: Ok... (looks down and scrubs counter)
tootie: hey nat, waht movie should we go see tonight?
Nat: tootie I got a much better idea!! (smiles) let's not go to a movie but lets walk all downtown and pick upi guys!!
Tootie: yea!! sounds great!! (smiles)
mrs. G: (brings in a bowl of pasta salad, hands it to blair, smiles, and leaves)
Blair: (starts dishing it into a different bowl that stays in teh shop) you cant go downtown guy hunting... most men there are dangerous and sickos!!
tootie: not-uh... all the bates boys go there to look for girls!
Blair: since when?
nat: since you left eastland!!
blair: oh!! Jo, common lets get out tonight!
JO: Blair! I said i didnt want to!! I gotta do some work on my bike!!
blair: jo! you havent worked on that thing since high school!!
jo: thats why i have to work on it!
Mrs. G: (walks in with a tray of crissoints)
Blair: Jo you know what? I'll give you the money and you can get it fixed by a professional and you wont have to work on that thing ever again!!
Jo: blair!! stop it!! i dont want your stupid money! now leave me alone!! (runs out)
mrs. G: (walks to Blair and puts hands on shoulders) Blair, keep trying!! well, i'm gonna get dinner started, why dont you girls close up!! (walks out)
nat: keep trying about what, Blair?!?!
Blair: nothing!! just drop it!! (walks over to the door and turns the sign to closed then walks back to counter)
tootie: (looks at nat)
nat: (looks at tootie)
tootie: blair! wahts wrong!!
Blair: NOTHING!!! (shouts and leans on counter and thinks to self)
----Living Room----
mrs. G: (walks in with a bowl of broccoli) ok come on girls dinner!!
blair, nat, and tootie: (get up from couch and sti at table)
mrs. g: wheres jo?
Blair: upstairs (pauses) thinking!
mrs. g: oh ok, we'll start without her then (sits down at table)
Nat: But youd give us the right act when we skip dinner without a good excuse!!
mrs. g; girls... (pauses and thinks of waht to say, looks at blair, and says) Jo has a lot to think about! come on, eat up, you guys have to get to your movie!
tootie: (looks at nat and smiles)
nat: (laughs a little but still keeps her cool)
mrs. g: ok girls wat is it?
nat: Nothing!! I just thought of a funny thing that i told tootie about earlier!
mrs. G: Ok (lets it go and thinks about jo)
nat: (whispers to tootie) boy mrs. garrett must be preoccupied by something, cuz that was too easy!!
tootie: (whispers) yea!! (looks at watch and says normal) Oh nat we gotta leave or we're going to be late for the movie!! (takes one last drink of mile and gets up to get coat)
nat; oh!! (takes a roll to eat on the go and gets coat and puts it on)
Tootie: we wont be too late mrs. garrett!!
mrs. G: ok, jsut be home early! no later than 12!! you do have school tomorrow!
tootie and nate: bye (leave)
mrs. G: blair, didnt you ahve a date tonight?
Blair: yea, but i cancelled, i figured that jo needed me more than Ron, i know i gotta get jo to a doctor!! but i dont know how!
mrs. G: blair you doing fine! at least your showing you care!! your here arent you!
Blair: besides im not having a good hair day and i dont have anythign nice to wear!! I need some new clothes!!
mrs. G: now thats the blair i know!! (laughs and smiles)
-----Living room (later)-----
Jo: (sitting on teh couch with knees to chin, crying in the dark)
Mrs. G: (walks down teh stairs and turns lights on) Jo!! its 12:30 Why arent you in bed?
JO: (crying) because (whips face) waht are you doing up?
mrs. G: (sits next to jo and puts hands on houlders) waiting for nat and tootie!! what are you doing up?
Jo: oh just thinking!!
mrs. g: Jo wahts wrong?
Jo: (puts legs down) nothing! im ok! (sobs a little and whips face)
mrs. G: Jo, you dont cry about nothing! come one whats this about?
JO: Let me guess Blair told you didnt she?!?
mrs. G: (shakes head no) oh i cant lie! yes, she did (comforts Jo0
Jo: Blair coudl never keep her mouth shut!!
mrs. G: Jo! this is serious! Its a good thing somebody told me!! waht if you are (pauses and is hesitant to say) pregnant... (looks at Jo)
Jo: well, I didnt know how to tell you (starts to shed another couple of tears) and I'm not positive that I am, i just have the symptoms...
mrs. g: Jo (pauses) you ahve to find out for sure!!
Jo: (starts crying a lot) Oh mrs. garrett Im sooo scared!!!! (hugs mrs. g and cries a lot)
mrs. G: oh jo!! (gets a scared look on her face and comforts her and hugs her and kisses her head) jo i wish i could say that everything will be ok!! but.... (pauses)
Jo: (leans back ) waht do i do if i am pregnant though!?!? i'm so confussed!!
mrs. g: well, you have an important desision about where youd want to keep the baby or not... (looks scared for jo) Jo, dont worry, its probably just a false alarm, but we need to go to a doctor to see what he says!! ok?
Jo: (looks down)
mrs. G: (lifts jos head and has a tear in her eye feeling jos pain and lets a little smile out)
JO: (hugs mrs. g and cries some more)
mrs. G: (has a very scared look on face)
----Living Room-----
Mrs. G: (sitting on couch thinking about jo and has a scared look)
nat and tootie: (walk in laughing and dont see mrs. garrett)
tootie: tonight was soo much fun!! (takes coat off)
nat: those 2 bates guys were sooo friendly!! (takes coat off)
tootie: lets do this again on friday!!
mrs. G: hi girls!! (sternly)
nat and tootie: (surprised)
nat: hi mrs. Garrett!! (tries to soften her up)
tootie: what are you doing up?
mrs. G: (looks at watch) it is 1:30 in teh moring! I told you to be home no later then 12!!
Nat: sorry! we lost track of time!
Mrs. G: You girls are grounded!!
tootie: come on mrs. garrett!! Besides, im already grounded!
mrs. g: well then make it 2 weeks instead of 1!!
tootie: mrs. garrett! but blair and jo stay out late all the time!
mrs. g: they are in college you are in high school! theya re 4 years older than you now go up stairs!!
----Girls' bedroom (next morning)----
Jo: (runs into Blair when comming out of bathroom)
Blair: Jo look, im sorry i told mrs. garrett...
jo: dont worry blair, i know you meant well, I mean you kept it from nat and tootie! (smiels)
blair: yea!! (smiles)
nat and tootie: (walk in)
Tootie: Hi jo!! are you ok? are you gonna keep the baby?
Nat: Tootie, we dont even know if she is pregnat, but your gonna let us know what the doctor says right?
Blair: (quick runs into the bathroom and slams the door)
Jo: (runs to the bathroom door and pounds on it screaming) BLAIR YOU JERK!!! YOU TOLD EVERYONE!!! I woudl liek to be the one to tell my own life stories!!!! (screams at blair)
Blair: (says through the door) Not everyone! and you woudlnt have told them anyways!!
Jo: BLAIR!!
mrs. g: (walks in) wahts all the yelling?!?
tootie: Jo and Blair! (points at jo and the bathroom door that blair is behind)
mrs. G: (walks over to Jo) Jo come on! or you'll be late for your appointment!
Jo: Blair we'll finish this when i get back!! (walks down the little set of stairs and says) Ok look i gotta say this, i cant beat around the bush about it anymore.... (pauses)
blair: (opens the door to hear what jo has to say)
Jo: I dont know if i had sex or not, cuz i was to drunk to remember, did i say it?
mrs. g and girls: (stand there in shock)
jo: somebody say soemthing!
mrs. g: oh jo!! (has a sympathetic look on her fave but says in dissappointment)
jo: well i know its pretty bad that i cant remember, and its pretty bad that i might be pregnant but its happening!! (goes to door to leave) oh mrs. g im really scared i dont know if i can handle this!
mrs. G: come on jo you can do this!! you gotta!! (puts hands on shoulders) This is reality and you have to face it! Like the adult i know you are! (puts hands on shoulders again)
tootie: (walks over to jo and gives her a hug) break a leg!! sounds like your gonna go perform a big production! (smiles)
nat: (walks with tootei over to jo and gives her a hug) I hope the best for you!
blair: (cautionly comes out of the bathroom and walks towards jo and stands there but then gives her a hug) Please forgive me!!
Jo: Dont i always... (looks at mrs. g) will you come with me?
mrs. g: sure!! (grabs jos hand and they walk out hand in hand)
tootie: waht if jo is really pregnant?!?
nat: I dont know!! everything will hit the fan!!
----Living Room----
Blair, nat, and tootie: (watching tv and laughing)
mrs. G and Jo: (walk in)
blair: (turns tv off then runs to jo) Jo!! waht did the doctor say!?!?
Jo: (silent and stands there)
Nat: Jo!!! come on!!! what did the doctor say!!!
jo: (silent still)
tootie: mrs garrett??
mrs. g: (smiles and says very happy) shes not pregnant!!!
blair, nat, and tootie: (scream and run to jo and hug her)
Jo: (smiles and hugs back)
Blair, nat and tootie: (back up)
Jo: (looks at mrs. g) mrs. garrett ... (pauses and smniles) thanks!! for talking to me, going with me!! everyhing!! (smiles and hugs her)
mrs. G: (hugs jo back and give her a kiss on her cheek) No problem!! I'm just glad that it was only a false alarm!! (smiles)
Jo: (looks at blair and hesitantly says) thanks blair!!
blair: what are friends for!?!?
Jo: (hugs blair, backs up and puts arms aroudn mrs. g and blair) thanks sooo much for being here!!! (smiles)
Nat: now the only problem is tooties geometry!!
tootie: I cant help it that i cant understand geometric figures!!
Jo: I'll help you tootie!!
tootie: thanks!!
mrs. g: and tootie gets to run the shop today, becuase shes grounded!!! (says grounded in a happy way to make it seem fun)
tootie: yippee!! what fun!!!
Everyone: (smiles and hugs jo)
