To me, TEGI should have shown Penny at her mother's new apartment, sneaking out to go meet the Evans. They should have shown her begging people for money for a bus ride, then show her on the bus, while Ms. Gordon is looking frantically for her daughter......... "Penny? Where are you?" She is asking, looking through the bathroom and Penny's room. "Oh, that girl done left me again. I'll bet she's at those Evans'. When I find her, I'm gonna tear her butt up! That broken arm I gave her will be no match for what I have in store for her!" They should have shown her leaving the apartment. Then they should have shown Penny sneaking into the Evans' building, and then hiding behind the garbage can. Then they should have shown the rest of the show just like they did, with Penny sneaking into the apartment and hiding in the closet. To me, the original 3 part is too short with Mrs. Gordon. They should have saved that for the end of the show. Penny sneaking out of the mother's apartment and begging for money and so on would have been plenty for a 30-minute show. If it were me, I would have made Mrs. Carpenter come in Part 4, half with Penny saying goodbye, and the other half with Bookman pretending to be Willona's husband.
