Even though he isn't in the poll my vote goes to Jerry. He just didn't fit in...like Adam on Bewitched.

Yeah thats probably because he came in it right near the end, i wished they had him earlier like season 4, such a cutie though.:)

Becky was very manipulative, and her type of screaming and hollering would never have been permitted in my home growing up. I was glad to see her leave the show, although her marrying Mark was a huge mistake. She could be so selfish!

the first becky- her constant whining and the way she disrespected her parents was most at the time disgraceful. i swear that had she talked back and shouted at anyone else but dan and roseanne, she would've got her ass beat- big time:mad: .

Exactly! See my post above. God, that girl could holler! She always had a sour, pouty expression on her face, too. Lecy Goransen deserved better and I was glad she left to attend college.
I was only about 13 when Becky eloped with Mark, but I remember thinking something along the lines of "Boy, Mark is sure one lucky ba$tard!" :eek3:

I vote for Becky. I know it's easy to hate on DJ but I do think towards the end he started growing into a decent character. Becky #1 was a rebel without a cause, as opposed to Darlene who actually had convictions. Becky #2 was an airhead.

I knew teens like Becky, too, when I was that age. I know some of them married young like her and are living in trailers with a couple of screaming brats and are waiting for their alimony checks to arrive in the mail.
That's about how Becky turned out!

Becky especially in the later seasons when Sarah Chalke started to play the character she was ok but not as good as Alicia Goranson was!

who voted Darlene or Roseanne? Those two plus Jackie were the three best characters IMO

I was never a Darlene fan when the show was still on the air (and to tell the truth, I'm still not), but she was probably one of the most realistic teenagers in TV history.

Aaww bless Dj is the most hated so far, he did get annoying in later seasons although i loved him in the first few seasons. :)

I liked him in the beginning too. I started to get annoyed with him when he was going through puberty and started to "rebel." By the last 3 years of the show, he needed to go. I always hoped they would do a "Judy Winslow" to him. ;)

Jerry was cool! :)
It was Becky that didn't fit in. She was the Marilyn Munster of The Connors. I felt bad for her at times. They were such a crazy family. Some of her annoying fits were out of control, but that's part of growing up. I always thought Becky was a good character.

Ha! Those 2 could drive anyone crazy!
I liked D.J. bickering with Darlene, even when they were older. But I never understood why he treated David like such crap.

Me too, i hated the episode when he hit david that made me go off dj, also what i didnt like was the fact noone stuck up for david he was too sweet and dj took advantage of that.

i liked DJ when he was little, like many of you and i also agree that when he became a teenager, he became stubborn and plus he moaned a lot more too. but that doesn't mean i dislike him as much as or as more as the first becky. although alicia was pretty good at being well a pain in the arse as becky  the second becky didn't do much to warrant my liking of her as i found her dull.

well, to be honest i've never been fond of that character- alicia's becky was all mouth and always bitching and whining when things don't go her way and sarah's becky was just boring. so you could say, um yeah! i liked roseanne, DJ, jackie, and to a certain extent darlene though

You're not alone. I felt a little sorry for her when she was covering for Goth Darlene and when Dan and Rosey sank her college funds into that stupid bike shop, but she was so selfish and loud-mouthed I could barely watch her. I didn't want her to come back, re-cast or not.

DJ. Not so much in the earlier seasons, but he really got on my nerves from Season Seven onwards,

Me either. Could it be that D.J. was bullied around by Darlene so now he had someone he could treat like dirt knowing he would not get in trouble?

Yep, that was probably it. I also think the fact that he knew David was sensitive, caring, and let's face it - wimpy, D.J. knew David wouldn't tease or hit him back, like Darlene used did. I guess maybe D.J. felt like David was the only one around him that he could actually bully.
