Iam Not Trying To Criticzie Or Be Mean Or AnyThing But John Ritter Was Really Skinny In The Early Episodes But Got A Bit Of A Tan And Gained A Bit Of Weight(Of Course Aging Always Has Something TO Do With It)In The Last Couple Of Seasons

He wasn't really thin in the earlier seasons, I thought he was at an average weight. He did put on a little more towards the end but he still wasn't fat...still average IMHO.

I don't really see any change in weight.

No I thought he looked fine on TC. He did put weight on during 8SR though.

He looked great. I never noticed any significant weight gain by the end of Three's Company.

Me either. I thought he looked really good. I did notice that he had put on some weight as he got older, but it happens to the best of us LOL.

I did notice some weight gain towards the later seasons of the show, but nothing more than 15 pounds here and there. By 8 Simple Rules, he was heavier, but like you said, he was already getting up there.

I didn't notice any weight gain during Three's Company. On 8SR, he did have weight on. To be honest, I don't think John aged well, and it wasn't just weight. I thought this while he was alive, and wondered if he was ill. He didn't look healthy to me.

I didn't want to be harsh in my post-LOL, but I was thinking the same thing. By 8SR, he had put on a lot of rate, gotten bad wrinkles and dark circles under his eyes, plus a lot other small things I notcied while watching 8SR. I'm not saying he aged horribly, just too early for his age.

I don't see any difference in the two pictures posted, nor did I ever notice it on the show.

It did seem like he put that on pretty fast too. I didn't notice his weight gain when he was starring on Hearts Afire in the 1990's.

He was already pretty heavy by then, too, and starting to show his age.

After John's passing the cast of 8 S.R would say John was always tired and worn out. He even had a bed in his dressing room to take naps in bewteen takes(lunch). The day he died, he kept telling people he was extemely tired and didn't feel good. I just bought 8SR first season on dvd and he does look very tired. Maybe if he had gone to the doctor early and got a complete exam they could have helped. It's a bit funny Lucille Ball loved John Ritter and she died of the samething John did.
I Love John and really do miss him.

I didn't notice any weight gain or signs of him showing his age in Hearts Afire either.

I preferred the way he looked in the later seasons. Maybe it's just me, but I always thought he looked more muscular.

Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious that if John had a regular thorough yearly checkup at the doctor's office he would probably be alive today.

His condition could have been detected with an echocardiogram or other cardiac tests.

But probably MOST men in the country don't go to the doctor on a regular basis so John was not unlike most men. But unfortunately for John it cost him his life.

Yeah, he probably would have still been living today. If he felt tired, like sometimes was wrong with him, he should have taken care of it and seen a doctor.

It is funny Lucille and John died of the same thing. But Lucille's smoking habits probably played a big role in her death. Did John even smoke?

Did John even smoke?

Yes, I've seen photos of him smoking behind the scenes. But they said his aortic dissection was caused by some defect he had had from birth.

He did while he was on the show but he also quit during his "Three's Company" years.
