LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Sara Gilbert will reunite with her "Roseanne" husband Johnny Galecki on Galecki's new comedy series, CBS' "The Big Bang Theory."
The show, set for a September 24 premiere, revolves around Leonard (Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons), two socially inept physicists who befriend their new pretty neighbor (Kaley Cuoco).
Gilbert will appear in an unspecified number of episodes as a love interest for Leonard. She is a fellow physicist who works with him, and the two attempt to date.
On "Roseanne," Gilbert and Galecki's characters, Darlene Conner and David Healy, had an on-again, off-again relationship until tying the knot in the penultimate season's finale.
Gilbert's role on the long-running ABC sitcom earned her two Emmy nominations.
Gilbert, who gave birth to a girl a month ago, has had a recurring role on NBC's veteran medical drama "ER."

Sara played Jane Figler on ER for 15 episodes. See here :

IMDB is wrong about stuff like that, a lot of the time. I think she was on more episodes. She's been there for about 3 seasons already. And yes, she's a recurring guest star.

Definately not. That's when the show was at it's best...You don't end an ensemble show, because one of the characters is killed off.

I'm not. Have you seen the ratings? It hasn't left the overall top 30 in 12 years, and season 13 came in at #31 (I say that's damn good, considering all the competition from these newer shows). And it's gotten 3 more Emmy nominations this year.

I disagree with you. He was the star of the show and the show turned more Soapy after he left. I kept watching up until they killed off Romano. The fact that Romano was the only reason I was watching the show after that is sad. I couldn't stand that Carter -Abby relationship and the new characters didn't interest me at all.

Fun! I loved "Darlene and David" and think it's cool to bring them together again. Plus Big Bang Theory looks really funny- I am guilty of tuning into "Beauty and the Geek" every now and I think the nerd + hot girl combo allows for lots of comic relief...
Has anyone else seen the previews?? I think it's a keeper!
