The only thing that was covered was his mouth, I can still see his eyes and nose and the entire side of his face of was shown too. lol

So in the Finale when his face was revealed what was really the big surprise?-lol

It was only a surprise to those who didn't know the actor. I knew the actor way before Home Improvement and so did a lot of other people, but it was a surprise for those who didn't know the man.

Well that was dumb then-lol Why would someone who had a TV history play a role like that when he wasn't a new actor? Where did you know him from?

His whole face was actaully shown in between the gap of the fence, not sure if it was a accident but his entire face was visible for a second and then he moved over. This was in the episode when Tim ruined his wife's car

I've noticed in some episodes that they didn't try to cover up his face as much as in other episodes. One of my favorite movies is Three Men and a Baby, which he was in a couple of years before HI. I think it was 1987.

I agree. His whole side could be seen in one episode, and I also notice the gap in the fence one!

Someone in the audience should have said this when Wilson showed his face in the Finale

"I ALREADY KNEW WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE"

LOL

LOL - I would have loved to see that happen.

I always liked the fact half his face was covered. Kind of gave some more comedic moments to his character. Just think, if his face wasn't covered, he wouldn't have anything funny to do-LOL

I especially loved Wilson in the later seasons, where they tried to cover his face using other objects when he wasn't behind the fence.

Some of the ways they tried to cover up his face were so funny! Sometimes though, it would look kind of odd, especially how he had his hand placed. They came up with some very original ways to hide him though.

Then I loved how they reflected that in the opening credits for the last 2 seasons. Very unique!

This was something very unique to the show and was a brilliant addition. Sometimes we could see his profile or glimpses between the fence. Still, the idea was fun and a real "Home Improvement" trademark. ;)

Johnny be good!

I couldn't see it when I was little. I was born in 1989, so that was my show growing up. Now, when I watch reruns, I can see Wilson's face, no matter how hard the producers tried to hide it.
