Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane missed death when terrorists struck New York City on 9/11, because he was hungover and missed one of the flights which struck the World Trade Center. But the writer refuses to believe fate saved his life, insisting alcohol deserves all the credit.

MacFarlane tells Penthouse magazine, "I was very, very hung over. I was running about an hour late . . . Yes, alcohol saves lives. We need to feel that something was meant to be. It's a lot of horses---. I've missed other fights. This is not the first flight I missed for being a little too party-hearty the night before."

I saw this on some program on TV maybe on E?. He was talking about it. It was the first time I found out that his real voice was that of Brian the dog. As he was talking about missing the flight I was picturing Brian speaking.

Oh man... can you imagine being in that situation? Knowing that you could have been on an ill-fated flight? How scary! While I don't condone his getting sloshed, I'm glad he wasn't on the plane.
I have also heard that Jerry Seinfeld had an appointment in the World Trade Center on 9/11/01 and he canceled it because he wasn't feeling well. Talk about fate....

He says he is an atheist..... Well, he should thank the beer gods. For saving his life. :notworthy:

Or maybe it was straight booze. Should thank the booze gods as well.

As Benjamin Franklin said, "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

Gaaaawwwwd, I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!
