Hi, Gomer fans! I watched the show for many years and enjoyed it but I am not as knowledgeable as you diehard fans. I am actually working on a different show now but would like some info about Gomer and was wondering if you could help me. Could you tell me something about Gomer romantically? Does he have any dates or girlfriends on the show? How does he act? Does he ever talk about women openly or show interest in them. I do know that he IS interested in them but I am just wondering a bit about what his lovelife is shown to be like (or his comments) on the show. Thanks so much!!!!

Gomer had a steady girlfriend named Lou Ann Poovey who was played by Elizabeth MacRae.

I haven't seen the show in a while (ever since TV LAND took it off) but from what I remember, it was. Exept she wasn't dumb. But she was also from the south, and liked to help people.

She wasn't dumb dumb...more naive. I always thought her personality was sort of like Gomers only she was a little smarter...lol and Carter's GF was Bunny and her personality was a lot like his.
