my sister is in labour!

My sister has been in labour now since 9.00am yesterday! my mum has been there with her aswell as my sisters husband ben! im worried as the last phone call i got from my mum was that they told her the baby might be 9 pounds!! and hes breach? i think that is when the babys feet is first im not sure? im sitting here by my phone waiting to here good news!! i hope everything will be ok.Im on my own as my partner is away with work!! i shall stay up till i know whats goin on,i wont be able sleep if i tryed anyway.Do you think shell be ok.:(

Oh my goodness. I will pray for her and your family. Everything should be alright. Breech birth is when the feet of the infant protrude first, rather than the head. It may end up a c-section if the doctor can't turn the baby around. Keep us updated and congratulations on being an aunt. THOUGHTS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU. :) :wave:

I know the feeling. Biting fingernails because you are anxious and worried is normal. ;)

She's been in labor since 9 yesterday???? Wow. That is now what 32 hours of labor??? :eek:

Well i havent heard anything since 6pm it is now 4.38 here!! when my mum rang me she said she would ring later but she hasnt,also i told her id be awke whatever time she may ring because i want to know.

That's what I posted above to Coffield. I believe that may be the case if they can't turn the baby around. They will also be concerned with the baby's heartbeat. A good heartbeat is a great sign that all is well.

Hi sorry that i havent posted any sooner been busy and catching up on sleep!! Everything was fine it ended up being a normal birth,he was 9pounds 6!! a big one hehe!! his name is thomas.Thank you for your concerns! i shall enjoy being a aunt. ;) :wave:

Big Boy, that.......Youll love being an aunt....I have no kids, but, i have a nephew and 2 nieces, its great, i can watch them grow up , but, i dont have to raise them, buy them food , or change their diapers!!! :clap: ( Of course, none of them are in diapers anymore)...........they grew up SO fast!!! :crying:

That's so true! I don't have kids of my own, but I have an adorable nephew. He's 13 months old and the love of my life. If he gets fussy or needs a diaper change, I always hand him back to my sister. :lol:
