the greatest character of all time (in my opininon) is Curtis Reed on DAYS. Nick Benedict potrayed him wonderfully.
remember the night he died? it began on Halloween night 1993 (DAYS time). he drugged and kidnapped his daughter Billie and was about to rape her when he was killed. and Austin realized that Curtis was alive..those were the days when this show was fantastic and could not be missed!!!
and they brought him back many times from the dead..Bo fought him "spiritually" and sent him back to hell as he kept getting Billie on drugs..then when he was part of that virtual reality place that Austin and Gretta were at and had to fight Curtis...many,many times he came back from the dead to haunt Austin, Billie, or Kate...that was great tv.

My favorite characters are John Black and Marlena Evans Black from Days. And I so agree with you, angel676, I want John Black to come back, too. The character Drake plays now LOOKS like John, but that is where the resemblance ends!!!

My all-time favorite character is Jack Deveraux (the wonderful Matthew Ashford) on DOOL. He was such an integral character back in the early 90's. Yes, he was very bad when he first appeared (raping Kayla and all that), but he had been redeemed. He's so multi-dimensional that he is just facinating to watch.

I hate that Days can't see how great he is. I would start watching it again if they brought him back. Now that Steve is back, I would love to see these two interact again.

Yes, he is. He actually died of the same disease (ALS) that took my grandpa. So finding a cure has become very important to my family.

Have you read the book "Not That Man Anymore"? Michael and his wife, Susan, co-wrote it before he passed. It's definitely worth reading. What the honchos at GL and Procter & Gamble did to him was inexcusable. :mad:

Can't say that I have read it. Yeah Proctor and Gamble dropped the ball when they fired him. Of course GL had been going downhill for the lats year anyways.

Reva Shayne from The Guiding Light. Reva has been the backbone of the show since her debut, thanks to the many talents of Kim Zimmer.
