I can relate to JJ, in a certain way. I am the oldest of three kids (a younger sister and then a younger brother) and am super skinny. So I can always relate to the jokes JJ's siblings made comparing him to a goalpost, a coatrack, etc. because that's what my siblings do! Then my sister got married and her husband joined in on the teasing, just like Keith. Of course it's all in fun, but that part of the show is so true to my life!

My father had the same temper as James did when he got upset, but that was when he was drunk. LOL I remember when I was little, he snatched a built-in phone off the wall because my sister tried to call the police on him.

There were 3 kids in our family too, but its 2 girls & a boy so its a little like the Evans. And my late father had a temper too just like James.

The only similarity I can see between my family and the Evans' was that my mom was always the mediator in family squabbles. She settled all our arguments and fights, kinda like Florida did with JJ, Thelma, and Michael. :)

My dad reminds me of James Evans in a way. Both men were/are strong patriarchs, firm but loving, and super hard workers. Like James, my dad has gone though unemployment and discouragement but has never given up. Also like James, he has never strayed from his loving wife.
