Has anybody remembers a TV show called "Steampipe Alley"? It was hosted by a young Mario Cantone. This was before he joined "Sex and the City" for the entire series. He is now doing stand-up.
"Steampipe Alley" was one of the last local kids shows on WWOR-TV from 1988 until the show pulled the plug in around 1993. It was hosted by Mario Cantone, and it featured a lot of games, prizes, sketches and of course some classic WB cartoons during each show.
It was taped at the WWOR-TV Studios in Secaucus, NJ where they have a lot of kids on the show. The announcer on that show was done by a longtime WOR-TV airstaff named Ted Mallie who usually does promos and doing its Editorial segments. He also does prizes and ticket plugs on every show. I missed "Steampipe Alley", because it was my favorite show when it was on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM back in the late 80's and early 90's.
I found these clips from YouTube is from 1991 where a young Mario Cantone hosted "Steampipe Alley". Here they are in 2 parts.
