Since you reside in Canada, The laws are probably different than those in the U.S.

How long has it been since you placed the order? Did they offer or did you ask for any type of tracking or insurance? I deal with Canadians alot and I've been told more than once that the mail can be really slow there.

Have you made any attempt to E-mail them about this and have you gotten any response? I'm assuming that you have but thought I'd ask anyway.

If you have their number, By all means call them if sufficient time has passed with no product.

Have you run a google on the company - does it come up and mention anything about anyone else being scammed? I did this with a couple of numbers that appeared on my call display and the comments about them were incredible.

I'd be really leary of it if I were you. I'll see what I can get on them locally for you.

It's really tough to tell. I Mapquested both addresses. The first appears to be a residence and the second a business likely. The phone number could be a cell number and that's why it's the same.
Funny they don't mention anything about Canada on that main website. It just doesn't make sense unless it's a clearing house, in which case, are you really saving money by purchasing through them?

I would check it out a little more. There's a lot of Asian gangs in the Scarborough area. They're also masters at credit card fraud and identity theft. Be very careful!

That last sentence made me feel so much better, TripperFan. :p

What should I do now?

These are other people with problems

Apparently nobody's order goes past processed, nor does mine. still on pending ;(

Edit: I am so paranoid. For some reason, the charge didn't go through okay in the first place YET so I called Mastercard and they put a lock on the account for 3 months. I got a VISA anyway, Mastercard customer support is downright rude.

As I mentioned in my PM, I've got to run out today, but will check that link you provided. Good thing you contacted M/C - at least with paying by credit card you can cancel it. I can't see that they would have to block the whole card for 3 months though - just that vendor from being able to charge anything. Odd - I've never had a problem with MasterCard.
We'll talk more when I get back. ;)

Sorry to make you nervous there, but something doesn't seem right about this. Hope the purchase wasn't huge - no X-Boxes or anything!

It was only $60 or so but I like to fight back hard for my money. :p

I was thinking about one of those modded PS2s but I'm glad I decided against that. It also seems their site is offline, and it points to:

Maybe my complaint worked...or they didn't pay their hosting fees?

It is quite possible that the company may have been shut down as well. The Mod chips are illegal and companies like Xbox and Sony are trying to shut these people down as the chips allow you to in effect burn a $50-80 game for less than $1. Just like the movie and record industry has been trying to shut this down. The gaming industry has found that they a losings millions also.

One other thing, the modded Xbox will work as long as you don't connect online. They have developed a program that will disable your Xbox if you are hooked up to LIVE with a modded Xbox, I would imagine it is only a matter of time before Sony comes out with a similar measure.

Internet buying has always been buyer beware but even more so with companies that are selling illegal items.
