Watching this silly sh*T on TBS and it's complete Garbage. Then to makes things worst the Madea character walks in and that just was to much. But what was really over the top was the young boy being bullied by a Pretty Girl. PBS please pick this show up!!!!!, it stinks.

It got a really bad review in some magazine. Had to be either Entertainment Weekly or TV Guide, since those are the only ones I read.

I saw a review in TV Guide that called it worse than a rehersal. And of course TBS has ordered 100+ episodes.

But this show did very well during last year's test run, including in Atlanta on WTBS 17.

The show is a complete mess. That crabby father gets on my nerves the most. I don't understand why they are calling this the debut of the show when they showed several episodes last summer. When it left the schedule suddenly I was relieved, thinking that it had been cancelled.

I seen an episode when they test ran it on WB or UPN last year, it looked like a badly rehearsed play. Really bad stuff.

I watched this and it's nothing more than a Chitlin Circuit play made into a sitcom. I don't know what TBS was thinking when they ordered 100 episodes of this, because this show is train wreck.

I love cheap looking sitcoms with bad acting. Hence my love for "Saved by the Bell," "Silver Spoons," and "Small Wonder."

Btw, Did anyone notice how the all of the older cast members are extremely overweight?

Did anyone tape the shows? I want to check it out. I was at work. I am rooting for this show and Mr. Tyler Perry. Were the first two eps the shows from last year's airings when they were only seen in selective areas?
The cast probably sounded like they were theater rehearsed becacuse most of his prior productions were plays. I will bet that was the reason.

BTW, don't forget about the new Tyler Perry movie with Janet Jackson entitled "Meet Joe Jackson and his Razor Strap" this December in theaters.

This was discussed on the "Tom Joyner Radio Show" last week. Tyler Perry was on the show and it was told to him by the Tom Joyner and Sybil Wilkes, another radio personality that others thought that Allen Payne did not have much to do during the first episode and that there were not a lot of funny moments on the show. Tyler said that the uncle and Madea were setting up the storyline for the show which is why the uncle had a lot of airtime. Allen Payne will be getting more airtime as time goes along.

He also said that the show will have more comical moments as well.

He also says that he is in production for another sitcom based on the play "Meet The Browns". The title of the new show is "Meet the Browns". LOL. I am gonna give Tyler Perry a chance. He says that there are over 40 eps that have been taped they have been taping three times a week.

Here's to the success of the show.

To me, Saved by the Bell does not fall into that category. Silver Spoons the later years would fall into the category to me and Small Wonder for sure.

In response to that, he did say that there will be a live audience soon to attend the tapings. He said this when he was on the Tom Joyner Radio Show.

I also tried watching on TBS.com but get a green screen when it plays back. It is obviously a computer problem on my end.

I hear you but you must get with the times. We have a lot more access now. Portable sitcoms and dramas are great for people like myself who are seriously into sitcoms. I watch in2tv and love it. Brieanna, thanks for letting me know that The New Dick Van Dyke Show is on In2tv. I overlooked that somehow. Having easy access to shows is just the greatest.

I can understand what Solomon is saying though. Watching on TV is just something that is traditional and authentic but those times are fading away. In one my film classes, it was said that the box office attendance is slowing declining due to easy access of movies. Pretty soon people will be able to watch new releases in the privacy in their own homes rather than going to theateres.

That's because movie tickets are so damn high, plus the drinks and snacks. You can easily spend over a $100 at the movies, Epecially if you're taking your kids.

ThomasE
06-15-2007, 11:21 PM
We discussed that matter about the movies and snacks in class. They play a role. People figure that technology can help save money to a degree. The onlu thing that will be missed is the thrill and excitement of going to a theater with others for a showing of a film and being able to laugh with other strangers in a theater.

LOL@Solomon calling the fat father on House Of Payne ugly and the worst actor he's ever seen hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. That fat dude you're talking about Solomon, i first saw him in Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls movie with Gabrielle Union, Idris Elba(his name is jacked up LOL), Lou Gossett Jr. He was a singer at this club that Gabrielle and Idris went to on their date. Idris knew him. The fat dude's wife on House Of Payne was also in Daddy's Little Girls. That was my first time seeing her. The little girl in the picture up above was Idris Elba's daughter in Daddy's Little Girls. She has a twin sister in real life who was also in Daddy's Little Girls. Who's daughter is she on House Of Payne? Is she Allen Payne's daughter? I saw in the commercial for House Of Payne that Dorian Harewood and Anne Marie Johnson made a appearance on the show. Dorian said i will set it on up in here LOL. He should've said i will set it off. Dorian is a good actor. He's been around a long time. He played in Roots and Sparkle movies. Who is that woman that is Allen Payne's wife? I've never seen her before. She's cute. Solomon that girl your talking about that bullied that fat boy, she played in Madea's Family Reunion and Akeelah And The Bee movies. Her name is Keke Palmer and she's cute. Madea was whipping her ass in Madea's Family Reunion hahahahahahahahahaha. Keke got smart with Madea while Madea was riding in the car with her and Tyler Perry. Madea was sitting in the front seat and Keke was sitting in the back. Madea turned around and was whipping her because Keke kept getting a smart mouth with Madea.
