I've always wondered whatever happened to Scooter Tucker. He was the backup catcher on the 1995 Indians for Tony Pena while Sandy Alomar was on the DL recovering from knee surgery. Once Sandy was back on the roster, Mr. Tucker vanished without a trace. He didn't even stay long enough to get a 1995 AL Championship ring!!
Do you ever wonder what became of certain athletes (pro, college, etc.)? Which ones??

always wondered what happned to a basketball player named michael dickerson. I know he played for the grizzles. He was drafted in the 2000's and yet he has just dissapeared.
I always wondered whatever happened to Rolly Fingers (not sure if I spelled it right) he played baseball for the Oakland A's back in the 70's.

Here's one that comes to mind: Tim Layana, pitcher for Cincinnati Reds in that magical year of 1990 when they won the World Series. The last I heard of him was in 1991 when he got shelled in an outing--I want to say it was against the Atlanta Braves since 1991 was the year they started to dominate the division.

Rollie Fingers also participated in the 1982 World Series as a relief pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers(the St. Louis Cardinals eventually won that World Series in a full 7 games).

He was drafted by the Rockets in 98' and sent to the Grizzlies in the Steve Francis deal. Francis bitched and complained about playing in Canada so the Grizzlies sent the #2 pick to the Rockets for Dickerson, a future pick, and Othella Harrington. He retired in 05' because of injuries. Mainly complications with a sports hernia and groin injuries. He was a solid player. Good defender and could hit the mid-range shot.
Thanks for clearing that up yeah he was pretty solid so I thought it was wierd when I stoped hearing about him.

I remember him. The 85 team had a reunion in Chicago 2 years ago and he was playing in a golf tournament.
I also remember him selling his Super Bowl Ring for 80,000 dollars.

I remember him. What happened to that other dude on his team, God, I can't recall his name. He always wore a white sweatband across his forehead.
Also, Olga Korbut...the Romanian gymnastics gal who was in the 1972 Olympics. What is up with her?

Sometimes I wonder the same thing about Kerri Strug from the 1996 Atlanta games who twisted her ankle yet competed through the injury.

How about Jeff Hostetler who quarterbacked the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXV in 1991 (during Gulf War I/Operation Desert Storm)? He was my hero for a while because he kept Joe Montana and the San Francisco '49ers out of the Super Bowl (for once!).

Didn't Davey Lopes manage the Baltimore Orioles a few years back??

Now that you stated that, I think I remember vaguely something like that. Once a Dodger leaves the team for whatever reason, I don't follow their career.

I remember a few years ago, Jay Leno did a joke:
"I love autumn because I get to stay home and watch the playoffs on TV...just like the LA Dodgers do!!"

I believe he was manager of the Milwaukee Brewers in the early part of this decade.

I know this is an ancient thread, but it was Davey JOHNSON who managed the Orioles back in the 1990s. I remember him well due to the Indians and Orioles facing off in the playoffs in 1996 and again in 1997. Gosh, those were the days!!!!

Craig "Ironhead" Heyward.
He was the RB for a few NFL Teams and was on a few Zest Commercials (I wish I had some, but there wasn't any on Youtube)!
Heyward died 4 years ago, that's all I know between his death and his career.
