I always wondered how Laura's teeth became straight practically overnight! Do stars get special treatment while the rest of us have to go through wires, painful tightening, headgear and retainers for years? :D

I think I remember Melissa Gilbert say in an interview that she wore braces one summer when they weren't shooting, and I think she wore a retainer, when they went back to shooting. Either she didn't wear it on camera or you probably couldn't even see it.

Still, I don't think those few summer months are enough to make her teeth that straight. I mean, I had to wear my braces for over a year!!

These days, one can just wear those invisible braces. Lucky them!!

I seen the interview on the extras on the Little House movies disc. She wore them whenever they were not shooting and had a retainer when they were.
