I saw this case tonight on LRW. This is another pretty interesting murder case.

I admit I am lazy and could probably search this forum for the answer, but I noticed that the segment was updated and someone had been charged for her murder. Can anyone tell me if the person charged was one of the three "witnesses" they profiled? That is, was it one of the two cops, or the other guy with the handcuffs and police paraphenalia?

To me the most suspicious person was the cop who was seen at the scene of the crime (seen by another cop), but later lied about talking to the ambulance driver (who said he never saw the cop). This cop later resigned over this.

The guy who had all the police paraphenalia was very suspicious too. Regardless of who done it, one thing was obvious to me -- Amy was pulled over by either a cop or someone pretending to be. Her car was found still running and in perfect shape. She had no other reason to pull over.

It was none of them. The man they arrested was a paroled killer name Arthur Bomar. He was convicted of Aimee Willard's murder, and is currently on death row.

The Aimee Willard case was also featured in episodes of Forensic Files and Cold Case Files ("The Telltale Tracks" and "Bump in the Night," respectively).

I take it that they had some forensic evidence linking Bomar to the murder?

This just goes to show you how totally unreliable eyewitnesses are. Three different witnesses each claiming a different story -- two of them disagree on even talking to each other!
