caroline in the city alternative cast

if you were to cast an alternative set of actors or actresses to play the main characters in caroline in the city, who would they be and, what basis would you select them and why? for caroline, i'd select either debra messing (grace adling of will and grace) or sally wheeler, who played carrie moore in that olsen twins sitcom, two of a kind because like lea thompson herself, they are both red heads; richard- i'd have greg kinnear (he was in jack nicholson's 'as good as it gets', the matador with pierce brosnan and more recently, little miss sunshine- great film by the way!) because he just reminds me of malcolm gets- appearance wise, somehow; as for annie- marisa tomei because for me she looks unbelievably like amy pietz. as for del and charlie, i haven't seen any other actor per se who bears a resemblance to either eric lutes or andy lauer

I have to say, that there is no cast like this(ok, the cheers cast is another story :) ). perhaps, you can take sean gunn aka kirk gleason from the gilmore girls as a pendant to charlie.

i must say that i have never watched the gilmore girls and so i am not that familiar with that name sean gunn. but from what you've suggested, he'd be your ideal choice to play charlie. actually i have just seen pics of him on the web as i typed in his name, and he looks very similar to andy lauer :)

ok, if you want to, you can watch parts of the gilmore girls on youtube.....
a few minutes ago, i was thinking about my post an i realized that my choice sean gunn has something to do with a very similar voice in the german synchro compared to andy lauer´s (synchro) voice. :D

i saw a bit of footage of sean on gilmore girls, and there is something about the way he acts that is kind of charlie-like. though of course he would have to be able to skate on roller blades! :)
