Superpowered moppets Dakota and Elle Fanning are joining forces to co-star in the true-life drama "Hurricane Mary."
Although Dakota Fanning is rapidly approaching her 13th birthday and Elle Fanning is lagging behind by four years, the girls will play twins in Arvin Brown's feature, according to Variety.
The paper focuses on an Irish-American mother (Patricia Clarkson) trying to get equal rights for her handicapped, but differently-abled daughters in the public school system.
Production on "Hurricane Mary" will begin in September with Chris Cooper, William H. Macy, Laura San Giacomo and Jordi Molla in the supporting cast.
Unless you happened to be at Sundance, Dakota Fanning was most recently seen in the holiday film "Charlotte's Web." Sundance audiences, though, were scandalized by watching the young actress in "Hounddog," a currently distributor-free drama in which she plays a rape victim with a love for Elvis.
Elle Fanning can currently be seen in the Oscar nominated "Babel."
