Miss Gerri vs. Martin

Going through the first season dvds, I forgot how funny Martin is with Miss Gerri - the old lady he's always getting into fights with. The one I just watched is the one where they get into an argument in church over her huge hat, which Martin calls a fruit basket. :lol:

My favorite fight between them though has to be the one where they're stuck in a bus station and she stomps on Martin's tuna sandwich and then starts fighting him over bus change being thrown on the floor.

Miss Gerri was no joke. I always cracked up when she spoke. She had kind of a deep voice for a old lady, but I guess it fit her attitude.

Is the lady who played Ms. Gerri still alive? She was hilarious. She was also dating Ol Otis on one episode. She was his date to his birthday party.

Nevermind, i just checked and sadly Ms. Jeri Gray passed away in '97.

That was another HIGHLIGHT of the show for me, Martin and Ms. Gerry. I liked their fight at the DMV and the Bus station
