Is 'The League of Gentlemen' ever shown in America? I'd love it if it was - can you imagine the average American's reaction to life in Royston Vasey?! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek.gif
Does anyone here ever watch the show? What do you think of it? I love it! It's so screwed-up and twisted you dunno whether to laugh or squirm!

"...everything was there and around us. We knew exactly who we were and exactly where we were going. It was grand."

League of Gentlemen is amazing, it was over here a few years back, I was floored, absolutely brilliant. I have to get the other series, I have just the first season.

Looking forward to the second series I ordered, I actually had to order a fortunately not too expensive multiregion dvd player to see it since beyond vhs for the first season it's all region 2, but I love it so much i don't mind. I see they're making a movie too, should be fun :)

The second season is a masterpiece of dark comedy, absolutely brilliant, just got the third as well. This is one of of the few very best Britcoms.

OK, got the third season now too, watched the first three episodes last night. I think LofG is simply the pinnacle of British Comedy, dark yet histerical, tight, well written, brilliantly creative, and the make up people are the very best.

Yeah, I love this show too. I recorded all the shows that BBC America played. Series 1-3. I'd love to get them uncut sometime. But my tapes are fine for now.
That 3rd series rubbed me the wrong way the first time I saw it. I missed the audience laughter. But it grew on me. Such a strange bit of comedy, that show! The store owners are my favorite with Job Shoppe a close second.

The third season fascinates me, the way the ends all come together to explain that single moment in time, pretty creative...Edward and Tubbs are truly special, I could watch a show based entirely upon them.
