ABC aired a show back in 1969 called "Turn ON". Supposed to be another Laugh-In ( guest star Tim Conway ) but the show according to mnay of books I read over the years was so bad that ABC cancelled it after just one showing. One book claims that on a tv station in Denver the show was cancelled halfway through, someone came on camera and said this show was bad and said the station was sorry for airing it.
My question is...does anybody remember watching this show? Was it really that bad?
From what I read it had quite a few sex jokes. Also read that thanks to an "aggreement" with the sponsors & ABC the show can NEVER be seen again.
TV Land Comedy Central ( or really anybody ) should air this, just to see what the fuss was all about back in 1969.
To me it sounds like it was just ahead of its time.
