Sorry for invading the board, but the WB has announced the fall schedule and "The Oblongs" isn't on it. . .but it's not officially on the canceled list either (which means there may be a glimmer of hope for a second season). There's still several episodes from this season that have yet to air -- and they're prematurely running the season finale on the 20th. To ensure the show doesn't become a "one year wonder," write to the following execs and tell them how much you love the show:
Susanne Daniels,
Mr. Jamie Kellner,
Peter Roth, and
Jordan Levin
All can be written to at:
4000 Warner Blvd.
Burbank, CA 91522
Thanks for your time.

I thought the show kind of sucked to begin with, but after the first few episodes it really picked up. The signs that appear on everything are hysterical, and it's well worth my time for Jean Smart's characterization of Pickles. As for being a Simpsons rip-off, that was kind of deliberate since it's made by some of the same staff -- but the show's based on a book that was actually nothing like The Simpsons (the book was a lot more twisted than The Simpsons or South Park ever thought about being). Thank you so much for your support!
