HOLLYWOOD - Real estate mogul Donald Trump is threatening to sue Rosie O'Donnell after she made unflattering statements about him on talk show The View yesterday morning.
Co-host O'Donnell called Trump a "snake-oil salesman" following his announcement that he would not fire troubled Miss USA Tara Conner.

She then went on to talk about alleged extra-marital affairs and discussed Trump's finances, claiming that he went bankrupt--a charge he denies.

Trump fires back, telling People magazine O'Donnell is "a woman out of control" and insisting he would be suing her over her statement questioning his financial well-being.

He says, "You can't make false statements. Rosie will rue the words she said. I'll most likely sue her for making those false statements--and it'll be fun. Rosie's a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie."

O'Donnell seemed to realize she was in for a fight after she criticized Trump on the show. She said, "Here comes the lawsuit. Get ready. This is going to be good."

Yesterday afternoon The View executive producers Bill Geddie and Barbara Walters issued a statement in support of O'Donnell--and Trump.

The statement reads: "Both Rosie and Donald are high-spirited, opinionated people. Donald has been a friend of The View for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator.

"We cherish them both and hope the new year brings calm and peace."

I think this is stupid. First Donald said "Rosie is nasty inside and outside, and yes I think I will sue her, and I can't wait to take money from her Fat A**". I mean that is just plain rude. I really hope they will make up and Donald won't sue. Plus what can you sue about?

I just got done watching Larry King, with Donals Trump on the phone calling Rosie O'Donnell a big fat slob. I'll tell ya, is anyone else watching it? Because it just doesn't sound like Donald Trump on the phone. Anyone else?

For someone who makes billions of dollars, he sure is stupid. What can he sue for? The truth? He is an idiot. I don't know how or why Rosie started coming out with this Trump stuff, but he could be a man, a man with class and not just respond. For him to call the cameras from The Insider to spew more hate and vulgar words, especially saying stuff such as fat, ugly slob, etc. puts him lower than a slimy worm. I believe the only reason he allowed that witch to keep the USA crown was because of the fact that he himself has a checkered past and he shouldn't be "judging" a young girl's behavior. He probably felt like if he dethroned her, the public would be ranting and raving (as they should) abt his past behavior (adultery, mistresses, etc.).

Donald Trump was on Letterman tonight and he's still talking bad about Rosie.
Why can't they stop acting like kids? They need to get over it and move on.

I just don't understand why Trump needs to trade insults with someone he already knows is FAT and UNATTRACTIVE

I agree definitely.

And constantly calling her a fat slob on the air is just childish. This woman was on TV and said even though he's not saying it directly, all overweight people hear those comments and it does hurt. Speaking from one, it does.

If you ask me he's a hypocrite. The shadow of his own ass weighs 25 lbs!

I thought Jo Luvs Ketchup's reply was right on target and also pretty funny.

My God, I'm so freaking sick of this crap with the two of them. They both seriously need to shut their big fat mouths and grow the hell up. Especially Donald. Seriously, they're not effin' 12 year olds.
