I remember seeing this show when I was a real little kid, probably in 1968-1970.
I think it was on before laugh-in. Here is what I remember:
It was a sitcom, right, but all of the backgrounds were drawn, with live actors in front of them. The drawings were very stark line drawings. I don't remeber anything else about it.
Does anyone have any recollection?

Helpfully, I recieved the following email:
Hi,
The program you are curious about is called "My World and Welcome to it." It premiered on NBC, Monday Nights (Before Laugh-In), at 7:30pm in 1969 and ran until 1970. "My World" starred William Windom as John Monroe. Joan Hotchkis played his wife Ellen. And Lisa Gerritsen played their daughter Lydia. "My World" was loosely based on the works of the late James Thurber. The cartoon characters played into John Monroe's life because he was a writer/cartoonist with an overly active imagination. This was a superior program, but probably a bit too sophisticated and way ahead of its time. So NBC canceled the show. And who says there ain't quality programming on the old tube? (LOL). I hope I help solve your mystery. Hey, while on the subject of old tv shows, remember a sitcom called "Pistols 'N' Petticoats starring Ann Sheridan?" Have a good day.
Frankie P.
THANKS, that was bothering me for years!
