I have a question about the A-team character replacements

hey i watch the A-team all of the time but i have a couple of questions to asked i no in the two part pilot the character face that we all no aka battlestar viper fighter star buck was not on there until the second episode but why was the first face replace by dirk benedict and the girl that was supposed to take amy spot tania,how come she was not on there longer i loved her eyes

According to the IMDB, Tim Dunigan was replaced by Dirk Benedict after the pilot becasue the producers of the show thought that he looked too young to be a Vietnam veteran.
I can see that. He looked young enough to be George Peppard's son.

I also read somewhere they replaced him because he was also a lot taller than the other A Team members.
