MAYBERRY R.F.D Questions

1. I just watched quite a bit of Mayberry R.F.D last weekend and I was wondering who the LAW of Mayberry is during this show's run? I did see Andy Griffith on a few episodes, so am I to assume that he was, even though he never appeared much on the show? I thought he moved away with Helen when they got married during the end of the Andy Griffith Show/early Mayberry R.F.D ??

2. What does "R.F.D" stand for?????

I think both of your questions have been asked and answered several times on the
