We actually did better this year then we did last year. Last year we only got two, but this year we got 7. Unfortunately 3 of them were adults though. That pisses me off so much. I'm sorry, but if you're an adult, and you're trick or treating, you seriously need to get a life!! I almost told them: "you're grown, go buy your own damn candy!!!" But I was proud of myself, as I showed restraint, and just gave them a dirty look. Anyway, what kind of trick or treating action did you all get this Halloween??

we got 1, but by the time I got to the door, they were gone! Didn't matter, though, as we didn't have any candy, anyway.

NONE. We left our lights off and I am eating what candy we had.

That's what I was gonna do, but I was in a decent mood tonight, so I decided I might as well. My good mood went away though when the first three trick or treaters were adults, and after that, I made my roomate pass the candy out.

That is so true. Here in New York City, lots of kids trick or treat at the various stores and delis in the neighborhood, and most of them have someone giving out candy to the kids. Yestrday I was walking up eight avenue and I was behind a couple of kids well into thier teens (one of them was as tall as I am - 5'11!) who were going door to door at every store. It took me a minute to figure out what they were doing until it hit me - are these two trick or treating? Not only were they waaaaaaay too old, neither of them had on a friggin costume!

That is not trick or treating. Here in New York we call that panhandling.

Which is why I stopped giving out candy, too many adults, and they lie and say its for a little brother or sister, and then you have parents with babys saying oh its for my baby, you baby can't even walk and you feed it Snickers??????

We got 7, too. 5 kids, two adults.
One of the men who showed up had makeup all over his face. I don't know what the hell he was supposed to be, but it was obvious that he was trying to cover up his mustache and I was like, "It's not working."
Some people need to get a life!

I arrested some adult trick or treaters last night for egging some little kids. Pretty pathetic. People need to grow up.

Are you really a cop? Forget about the ones who throw eggs, find the ones who smoke pot. I swear, half the kids on Staten Island smoke pot. The other half are probably on prescription drugs(no joke). I can't believe adults need to trick-or-treat. Halloween should be removed as a holiday.

Not many, about 8. We live in an out of the way terrace with very few townhouses, so I didn't expect many. I was hoping for more as I have the door decorated for Halloween and the pumpkins out.

Not one, as usual. The kids around here trick or treat in April, I think.

We got about 30 last night, we live in a gated community so there weren't that many kids.

I didn't get any adults like others on the board

We never get trick-or-treaters here.

Why do people get so mad over adults trick-or-treating? It sounds funny to me, LOL. I probably would've went trick-or-treating last night too, and I'm 18!  But I didn't have a costume and I didn't have anyone to go with. Oh well. I'm gonna put that behind me now. I'm so ready to party it up next year.

We only got 6 or 7 groups of kids. We haven't been getting many kids over the last few years.

About 80 TOTers, same as last year.

Many of them were looking at my garage display. I liked some of their comments... "Very cool decorations," "Really nice props," "Very good display," etc.

I'm glad there was no threat of rain. Kind of cool, though, at about 54 degrees. Last year, the warm Santa Ana winds were blowing and it was about 70.

Less than 100

I am at the end of the street and unfortunately several of the houses on the way do not participate, a lot of kids come by to see the decorations but many do not come to the end of the street because there is not many inviting houses.

Seems like very year there are less and less

None of us were home last night, we all had different plans, so I shut off all of the lights and put a note on the door that said "Nobody Home, Go Away".

I worked a fun house, and we got about 20-25. Most of the children we not dressed up and it pissed me off.

I got 7 probably because of the rain. Usually we maybe 20 because we live out in the country. Two out of those 7 were two boys who were borderline for the trick or treat age. They looked and sounded to old to me. At least they were in costume. Not one of those dang kids said "Thank you." Whatever happened to manners.

About 55. Didn't have much candy left so got some more today half off. It's much easier as an adult - you can just buy the kinds of candy you like. Not as much fun though.

I have lived in Southern California (most of my life) I cannot recall if it has EVER rained on Halloween; it has always been clear and dry!
It has rained two times on Halloween in my area... 1987 (rained practically all day and into the evening) and 2003 (a light rain starting around 5:00 PM).

I was totaly surprised that I got absolutely zero trick-o-treaters on Halloween night despite it being clear. Maybe not many kids live in my neighborhood.

I wasn't home this year and last year, so I don't know how many (or, if any) knocked on my door. This year I went over to a friend's house, and they got about 20 kids or so. She had a full medium-sized bucket at 6:00 p.m., and it was all gone by about 9:00 p.m.

My parents went to a party, and from 5:00-6:30 about 35 kids came to the door, than i went to a party and didn't get back until midnight, soo i'm sure i would have gotten more if i would have stayed home.
