On the show when Wilson is talking something is always covering his mouth. Like you can see his eyes and hair but there is always something blocking his mouth no matter what he's doing. Even the episode where he goes to the hocky game he had to hold something infront of his mouth. Is there a reason why they don't let Wilson show his mouth? I would like to know why he mouth always has to be covered. Emka11 :)

I heard they did that to make it interesting or something like that

Yeah, it was just a long running gag on the show. It added an extra joke to every episode. I love being surprised at the many ways they decided to cover Wilson's mouth. It's like Kramer's entrances to Jerry's appartment in Seinfeld. Once it was developed, that was a long running gag, too.

I've heard that you got to see Wilson's full face in the finale but I'm unable to confirm that as I've never seen the episode. Roll on the Season 8 DVD!

I am not sure why they did it but I think they said that it was Tim Allen's idea on the E! True Hollywood Story. At times you could see his glimpses of his mouth or lips but never his whole face at one time. After the final episode they showed him running out and taking a bow for the audience and that is the first time I think they showed the home audience his entire face.
