I'm not sure how many of you have seen this documentary or are Elvis fans, but it just came on VH1. The end was so sad when they showed Elvis singing in concert and started laughing throughout "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" You could tell right off that this was the drug filled years.

I knew Elvis was into buying gifts for everybody, but this movie said he bought over 100 cadillacs for people.

Another interesting piece is when he is singing "Always on My Mind", check out that watch he is wearing. That thing covered his whole wrist. Talk about a humongous watch!

If you want to see or tape this movie, I think it comes on again tommorow at 8:30 a.m.

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

[Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter]

Dale Midkiff is my man! :)

I am an Elvis fan, but don't think I have seen that particular documentary. I have seen "This Is Elvis" and it has that same scene of the concert where he started cracking up during are you lonesome tonight.
I have a few Elvis concert tapes and in all of them, he breaks into comedy skits on the stage. I think that particular night, he was missing his x-wife and the drugs combined into...that. I don't think his life was ever the same after the divorce.
