With Pedro Martinez out of the playoffs, their NLDS rotation will be Glavine, El Duque, Trachsel and John Maine. I am sorry, but that doesn't sound too good. They still might be better than the Dodgers or Padres, but if they have to face the Phillies or Astros in the next round, they are in trouble.

Lot of people here in Dirtydelphia think the Phillies can make the World Series if they get in-lol

I hate to tell you this, but they are right. The Phillies are one of the hottest teams in the NL right now.

Well let's hope the Marlins cool them off tonight.

I still see the Mets as the team to beat out of the NL teams in the playoffs. Their pitching won't be as good but Willie Randolph made a smart decision by starting El Duque in Game 1 and if necessary, Game 5 because he's a big game pitcher and has always stepped it up in the postseason.
Here's a Mets problem that is going largely unnoticed: They are not hitting at all lately, their slump dating over two weeks now. They rank 28th among 30 teams in runs scored this month. Carlos Delgado is hitting only .233 in September, Jose Valentin is batting .188, Cliff Floyd .236 and so on.

In danger of sweeping the Dodgers, that is. I hate to say this, but the Mets starters gave up only 3 runs in 3 games. I hate to say this, but playoff series aren't won or lost based on how a pitching rotation "sounds." I hate to say this, but the Mets are advancing to the LCS. One New York team had to.

Didn't expect the Mets to beat the dodgers in this series. So I have to say I'm surprised

I love the way you ignored my thread UNTIL the Mets won the series. Preety wussy of you. Although, 3 out of 5 games is much different than 4 out of 7. Besides, it would be nice if the Mets played a team with a little more talent. That's ok, the Mets have skill, no doubt, but that pitching is still suspect. Nice for you to jump in after the fact though. Next time have some balls and comment when the series is actually going on.

Exactly, I hate when people do that. They have the nerve to respond after the fact, like "I knew all along they were going to win." When all along, they were ****ting their little pants. lol

How about you have some balls of your own and follow your own advice and "worry about your own damn team," you know like how you suggested I do last year. (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=2464391&postcount=46) It's funny how you say in that post that Yankee fans "could give a damn what the Mets do," yet all I see you do is comment on the Mets, here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=3336818&postcount=2) and here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=3332579&postcount=3) and here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=3332195&postcount=1) and here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=3326838&postcount=8) and here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=3326835&postcount=6) and well, you get the idea. My fingers are getting tired from linking to all the examples of how a Yankees fan doesn't care about what the Mets do.
For your information, I responded to your thread with the Pedro Martinez thread that I posted, so I commented before the Mets series even started. You have no leg to stand on there. It's funny how it's wrong for me to comment on the Yankees and I should "worry about my own damm team" but you don't take your own advice. Where are your comments about your own team? I didn't find too many this year. I guess you were busy ****ting your own little pants.

You see vashti, the difference between you and I, is that you get a woody reporting something bad about the Yanks. When I posted about the Mets, it wasn't to rag on them, just to get a discussion going. No harm no foul. Again, you have no grapefruits. So hopefully, you'll be quiet for the rest of the post season. I have no ill will for the Mets, just ill will for "Met Fans" who only show up to brag when their team does well and disappear when they don't.

Please point out all the "woodys" I've gotten reporting something bad about the Yanks. I haven't said a thing about them. I've been too busy following my team. I see many more examples of your negative posts about the Mets. They have a successful season yet every comment from you to "get a discussion going" is based in negativity. It's okay though, I'm not here to indulge you and respond to all your negative comments about my team. I'm as much a fan when they lose as I am when they win, and aside from avatars and signatures, I've barely made post after post bragging about the Mets success. Should they fail in going all the way, I'll be the first one here to say "maybe next year."
Oh, and thanks for realizing that I have no grapefruits.
