Hey

I was wondering if somebody could help me on this. In the movie "Forrest Gump" are two songs, that I would love to know the name of so I can download them to my computer. I don't know the name of the songs, or who sings them. Please help me here guys! Here are a piece of the lyrics:

lyric #1- "In this world we can not change" The scene in the movie is where Jenny is in that place with her friends and began snorting cocaine. She goes outside and stands on that railing.

lyric #2- "As she's walkin out the door"- The scene in this movie is where Jenny is packing her bags and leaving that guy that she was with.

I hope that made sense. Please somebody reply back, because this is driving me crazy!! Thanks! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

The first song that you were talking about was Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The second song that you were talking about was California Dreamin by The Mamas & The Papas.

The second song is not California Dreamin. It sound more like "Love Her Madly" by the Doors. The first one isn't Freebird either. Check out the lyrics:

I guess I'm just getting my scenes confussed. I do recall Freebird and California Dreamin being somewhere in the movie.

Thanks DJM77 and Dawsongirl!

I downloaded Freebird and that was the song I was talking about before. I just screwed the lyrics up on the post.

When Dawsongirl posted the link to get to the lyrics to "Love her Madly" I knew that was the other song I was looking for.

Thank you both very much, because this was driving me crazy trying to find the name of the songs. Thanks again! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

You're welcome. Since for some reason "Love Her Madly" isn't on the soundtrack, I wasn't sure if that was the one. But yeah, Freebird and California Dreamin are on the soundtrack.

Halfway on-topic, I just wanted to say that I LOVE the music from FG. I really like the 60's/70's/Vietnam kinds of songs.
