Fess Parker, best known as Davy Crockett (and later Daniel Boone) also played
Gale Storm's boyfriend on MY LITTLE MARGIE and sang an operatic aria on THE
GEORGE GOBEL SHOW.
Jimmie Dodd (of THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB) appeared in movies with John Wayne, Bob Hope, and Bud Abbott & Lou Costello.
Cliff Edwards (the voice of Jiminy Cricket) had a small offscreen role in the
1939 classic film "Gone with the Wind," in which he played a hallucinating
Confederate soldier.
Dallas McKennon, best known as tavern keeper Cincinnatus, was the voice
of Gumby, Archie, and many other characters. Now in his late eighties, he
"has the energy of someone a quarter his age" and still does all the voices
he did for many cartoons ... including even the freckle-faced teenager!
Although she went on to become "America's sweetheart" and arguably the
most beloved Mouseketeer, Annette Funicello was the last Mousketeer to
be selected for the original MICKEY MOUSE CLUB.
