Hello! I Have Read Over This Great Site That Someone Has Finally FOUND All 26 Episodes On My Living Doll! First Of All Is This Really True? If It Is Then Shouldnt Someone Inform Julie Newmar The Star Of This Old Show About This Find! Wouldn't She Be Very Helpful In Selling Her Old Series To Cable Or A Dvd Company? She Must Have Many Great Contacts In Hollywoodland! The Sooner One Can Find A Backer For This Show Then The Sooner It Mite Be Released Onto Cable Or Dvd? Just Wondering.
Finally Did They Ever Make An Original UnAired Pilot To This Show Like They Do With So Many Shows?
Thank You.

Pardon me for a healthy case of skepticism. Write back when you've got the episodes.
"The Sooner One Can Find A Backer For This Show" ... I don't like the sound of that!

The thread on My Living Doll was linked in the "greatest find" thread. I read through it, and it didn't sound like a scam. According to the person claiming to have access to original elements, the plan is to make the show available to cable first, then DVD. Probably to build an audience. The posts are interesting to read, at any rate.

Which makes very little sense, when you think about it.

Hello, Yes this sounds Fishy To Me! Why try and sell My Living Doll to cable? Just release It to Dvd Instead! Isn't Julie Newmar still popular these days? I think many baby boomers would Love to see this vintage show again!
Once again I sure HOPE they find this series soon! This sure has more plot twists than the J.F.K. Conspiracy!

I could see selling it to TV Land, or possibly even one of the women's channels. Or Sundance. :>
I don't know that the show would have that great a following on DVD. Yes, those of us who remember it are pretty fanatical, but remember, the show did poorly in the ratings back in the '60s. It was not a hit by any stretch of the imagination. Most of the shows I loved from that era didn't last a season. Thank goodness the prevailing wisdom in television at the time, though, was to burn off what had been filmed (generally speaking). But networks frequently had a greater stake in television programs of the '60s than they have in recent years. Although with all the conglomerations, we're seeing a trend back toward network involvement in many more productions.
