• San Francisco Giants get LHP Mike Stanton; Washington Nationals get minor-league pitcher Shairon Martis.

The only thing I was hoping the Mets would do is pull Dontrelle Willis from Florida. Didn't happen.

Abreu, Maddux and Carlos Lee were the only real major names who switched teams.

I was surprised the Yankees traded Chacon especially when pitching is their main weakness. I don't see how Cory Lidle is an improvement.

Chacon stunk this year. Their bullpen is fine. The starters are decent enough now. Lidle is a big improvement over Ponson or whoever else they had 5th.

They could have done much better than Ponson. Him and Jaret Wright should be gone by next year. I always wanted Dontrelle Willis to come to the Yanks but that is a long shot.

Wright is not that bad. He may not go deep into the games, but he is a solid #4 or 5. Maybe by next year it will be Randy, Wang, Mussina, Hughes and Wright. Hughes will be their ace in the future.

Is that kid from Brooklyn in the minors already? I heard he's 6'9" and consistently throws 90-95 mph.

The red-sox got javy lopez from baltimore for cash and a player to be named or cash considerations- javy should fill in well till jason varitick comes back

And the I think got one of the giles brothers either from san diego or atlanta off waviers* not to sure about that

and i heard that andrew jones got clamied off waviers by an unnamed team* i hate it when they say that but is this true?
