Do you think that Superman still holds up as a super hero?

Just curious what you think about Superman and how he hold up in this day and age of comic book readers and movie goers. Do you find him more simplistic by today's standards or is he a timeless character?

I think Superman will always be the superhero "icon." He does good, he's got powers that make him different, everything you'd want in a hero.

Maybe he's too much of a "goody goody" by modern standars. It's been proven that movie goers prefer a superhero with more baggage.

And adimantium claws.

eh, I think he's still the icon, like TJL said. Modern super heroes have all these weird powers and too much crap...they're almost laughable. Not that all super heroes couldn't be laughable from time to time....

Superman is still the top superhero of all time IMO.

Superman was the FIRST comic book superhero. Whether he is the BEST or not
(and I think he still is), he will ALWAYS be the first.
