View Full Version : Bad Movies
Is there a film that you found so bad, you would never see it again, even if you had an offer to see it in the movies for free? I think Tomb Raider would be my choice.

Titantic
Touch of Evil
Death Becomes Her
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Teresa's Tattoo
...but we all have to admit, horrible movies are fun to mock. (case in point: Mystery Science Theatre 3000)

"Mission to Mars"--a great cast, but a lousy movie. Actually saw it twice, and both times it was a mistake.
"Dracula--Dead and Loving it"
"Robin Hood--Men in Tights"----These two films were directed by Mel Brooks. Normally his films ("Blazing Saddles", "Young Frankenstien") are hillarious. But I'm sorry to say that he's losing his touch. Avoid "Dracula" and "Robin Hood" like the plague.

I haven't really seen many movies, I don't really follow movies but I have seen some lately. Some I rented out and 2 in theaters, but I haven't really seen real bad ones. I guess when my mom and dad rented out Red Planet. It was kind of boring and it wasn't real scary or anything. Something similar to Red Planet was Armagedon and that was pretty scary but not a lot. Oh and I also saw Pay It Forward I thought it was good but I really didn't like the end. It was very sad.

Okay, I have a new one:
Planet of the Apes! The new one of course. Okay, you can see it once, because honestly, it's alright. But DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT see it again. I hated it the second time through... Mark Whalberg can't lead a movie...he can't!

OK, I have not seen this movie, so I cannot speak for it yet, but have you seen Boogie Nights? That was a very good movie. And Marky Mark carried it all the way through without too many issues. Three Kings wasn't too bad either, but George Clooney saved his butt....
I remember seeing a movie when I was younger called "The Gods Must Be Crazy" and I found it to be the dumbest movie ever. I hated it!

Okay, I've seen Boogie Nights, and it was alright. And Mark Whalberg did a decent job in it. So yeah, I'll give him his credit there. AND Three Kings was a great film, but then again, the script kicked ass.
But I HATED The Perfect Storm. Absolutely loathed it. I saw it once, and I will never have the intention to see it again. Honestly.

Granted, 'Monkeybone' is awful, and 'Dude, Where's My Car' is one of the most crap movies ever made. But 'Josie & The Pussycats' was one of the best movies of 2001 so don't diss it! The product placement was a joke - it wasn't meant to be serious! The whole movie was making fun of the crass comercialism of todays music industry. People who watch 'Josie' and complain about the product placement are completely missing the point!!!!!

Brave Heart
This was reccomended to my dad by his brother who died about 6 years ago and after his death he decided he would rent it and see what it was about. Well, when we watched it, it was the worst movie we thought we had ever seen. We never wanted to see that movie again.
Teaching Mrs. Tingle
One of my friends at a sleepover decided to rent this movie for the night. Well, they thought it was a great movie, but I thought it was one of the worst films I had ever seen. I also thought Go and Cruel Intentions were really bad films as well. The films have way too much nudity in them. And, all the movies seem to have no real plot line at all.
No Place To Hide
This movie was just pathetic. The plot reminded me of an R.L. Stine book. It was just moronic.

I must disagree with the person that said " A Face in the Crowd". I thought that movie rocked. It was so weird seeing Andy Griffith playing a hickish kind of character during the first 20 or 25 minutes of the movie, and then he goes psycho during the rest of the movie. I kind of wished Andy had played more psycho roles during his career.
I kind of disagree with the person that said Matilda. I love to watch that movie to see Danny Devito. I have an uncle that looks and acts just like DD's character. It makes me lmao just seeing his character in the movie. I know, it takes very little to make me laugh. lol ;)
My list of bad movies
The Twilight Zone: The Movie- Aarghhh! It just pretty much sucked. Don't think the series was like the movie. The series was cool and creative, while the movie just wasn't. It was kind of like that 80's remake of the tv show. It's hard to see a TZ in color. Back when the original series was done it was in black and white, which gave it the eerie feeling. In color it loses all eerieness. Neither the movie or the 80s tv show remake had Serling on the project, because Serling had already died. That kind of sets it off too. The storylines for the movie weren't the best ones they could've chosen.
Titanic is borderline. I think the movie kind of drags on a little too long. I love long movies, (such as Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Gone with the Wind) but Titanic just drug on. I think Kate Winslet is a wonderful actress, and Leonardo has bit of star quality to me but truly he has trapped himself in a box. He will never be able to top or even come close to Titanic. The ending to the movie was the best part of the movie. Oh yeah, I thought Billy Zane was sexy, so maybe this isn't a bad movie. lol
Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story- They really messed this one up. I would classify it as fair. It was nice to see Megan, Jonathan, and Schyler back together again. Pardon me, did I say that? Schyler and Jonathan Crombie were hardly in the movie. The Continuing Story was basically an Anne and Jack Garrison eye spy movie. The ending was so off too. It ended all hopes of a 4th movie when Anne gave Green Gables to Diana and Fred. How is she going be called of Anne of Green Gables if she doesn't have Green Gables? I'm going to be fair with this one by saying it was fair. It isn't all that bad, but it isn't all that good either.
Leave it to Beaver- Another bad example of adapting a good tv show into a movie. The actors in the movie just flat out couldn't act in my opinion. This is the 90's movie btw, not the Still the Beaver movie. They tried to bring it into the future by having a now Beaver and the gang. It failed miserably. Beaver and the gang should've stayed in the 50s where they belonged, but the people making the movie apparently thought the movie wouldn't draw and audience if they were still in the 50s.
I can't remember anymore. Isn't that weird? When you want to think of all the stinker movies you've seen they all slip out of your mind.

I disagree with the person who said that 'Jeepers Kreepers' was crap. It's one of the coolest horror movies of recent years. It doesn't use naff looking CGI monsters and it doesn't try to be ironic or copy 'Scream' which is pretty rare in horror movies these days - they all seem to wanna be 'Scream' copycats!
I saw an awful, awful movie last night. It's was called 'Camp Blood 2'. It was about this nutter in a really creepy clown mask that went around murdering people for absolutely no reason! It was just terrible! It looked like it was shot on a cheapo hand-held video camera, the sound quaility was awful, none of the cast could act and the clown was just some dude with a big beerbelly in a rubber mask and a plastic knife!!! It was so terrible I can't even put it into words. It was so crap that it wasn't even funny! And it certainly wasn't scary. The scariest thing about it was the fact that it was a sequel! How many 'Camp Blood' movies are out there?????!!!!!!

I must disagree with the person who said "Braveheart". I mean, I personally think it is a great plot. Sure, some of it is not historically correct, but the main plot of it is....
Scottish commoner William Wallace falls in love with a childhood friend, and secretly weds her. The English come along and kill her, and Wallace certainly gets his revenge, leading to a Scottish rebellion against the English rule.
Of course, I love history though, so I would like it....

I'm the biggest film buff going. We rent all the major video releases and go to the movies often. The one and only movie my husband and I ever left the theater early for was Dune--that Sting piece of crap. It was a hundred years ago, but we still joke about it today.

For the record, 'Braveheart' was filled with so many historical inaccuracies that if I were to sit here and list them I'd be here all day! Although, any movie in which those English b#stards get their butts kicked by the Scots gets a thumbs-up from me!
I don't wanna debate this next point I'm gonna make so please don't anyone argue with me about it. I'm sorry, but it must be said -
'Moulin Rouge' was a load of sentimental, nonsensical drivel!!!!!!. IMHO, anyway.

:D Good on ya! :D
And I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had absolutely no idea why 'Moulin Rouge' was so popular. Even the songs sucked! The only song that was cool was 'Come What May' but it was too slow - the dance remix was much better.
