Passing of Herb Hartley/Barnard Hughes

I was just listening to Bill Daily's radio show - when they were discussing the death of June Allyson, Bill mentioned...

Barnard Hughes, the man who played Herb Hartley (Bob's father), also passed on over the weekend.

It has not been on the Internet yet - this is from Bill.

I remember one piece of dialog that went something like this:

(to Bob)
Herb: I wanted to name you Lucifer

Bob: What kind of name is that?

Herb: I think it's a hell of a name.

Just thinking about it still makes me laugh.

My husband and I are watching all the season 3 episodes, and today, we watched The American Family. It splits my sides anyway, but Barnard Hughes has a sense of comedic timing that is just ... well, superb.
