Conversations With God is a series of three books by Neale Donald Walsch transcribing conversations that he had with God in the early 1990s. He's written more books, with different titles, that are full of more of his conversations with God, although I've only seen these three - I have the first two CWG books.

Anyway, they're really, really great and I recommend them to anyone who's interested. People who don't like all the conventional parts of the Christian religion would also be interested, as some of the things God says contradict what we've been taught. For instance, He says that there is no Hell, that Satan doesn't exist, and that we can create our own circumstances and surroundings after we die. He also says we have the ability to do that while we're still alive, and that we're constantly creating, only many of us are doing it subconsciously, and are not aware of it.

Anyway, they're fantastic books. I'm going to post some quotes - quotes from God's dialogue in the book. It's really great, and God is fantastic, He has a sense of humour and He's not judgmental, and He says He doesn't punish us - a quote from him is "I do not punish. I love."

Anyway, here are some quotes from God:

Thought is pure energy. Every thought you have, have ever had, and ever will have is creative. The energy of your thought never dies. Ever. It leaves your being and heads out into the universe, extending forever. A thought is forever.
All thoughts congeal; all thoughts meet other thoughts, cris-crossing in an incredible maze of energy, forming an ever-changing pattern of unspeakable beauty and unbelievable complexity.

Of course, when entire societies think a certain way, very often astonishing things happen - not all of them necessarily desirable. For instance, a society living in fear, very often - actually, inevitably - produces in form that which it fears most.
Similarly, large communities or congregations often find miracle-producing power in combined thinking (or what some people call common prayer.)
And it must be made clear that even individuals - if their thought (prayer, hope, wish, dream, fear) is amazingly strong - can, in and of themselves, produce such results. Jesus did this regularly. He understood how to manipulate energy and matter, how to rearrange it, how to redistribute it, how to utterly control it. Many Masters have known this. Many know it now.
You can know it. Right now.

I will not leave you, I cannot leave you, for you are My creation and My product, My daughter and My son, My purpose and My...
Self.

Call on Me, therefore, wherever and whenever you are separate from the peace that I am.

I will be there.

With Truth.

And Light.

And Love.

Just adding a few more quotes...I won't add them to the other post, as I think it would be too long, and I think it's easier to read them this way. Once again, they're from what God says.

The First Law is that you can be, do, and have whatever you can imagine.

A thought or a word expressed and expressed and expressed becomes just that - expressed. That is, pushed out. It becomes outwardly realized. It becomes your physical reality.

So go ahead now. Ask Me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear - all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways.

Isn't God great? People, I really recommend these books, there's some fantastic stuff in them!

Was your ex's being obsessed with it a bad thing?

Anyway, I'm sorry if this topic upsets you in any way. But they are really good books and offer an entirely different perspective on things. Maybe you could check them out some time? You might enjoy them. :)
