I have always like Ballad of the Green Berets so I went looking for some of his others and he has a bunch of neat ones. I got about 12 by him and I like 7 or 8. It is neat hearing them because you never hear people like him on the radio. Some others good ones you should all try to listen to are The A-Team. Saigon, Nurses of Vietnam, and I'm Watching the Teardrops Fall. Nice voice, its to bad his life got so messed up because of his singing career. He is a preety interesting person, would make a great movie-IMO.

" Later in life and after serving time in prison for a fatal shooting, Sadler moved to Guatemala City (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guatemala_City), and it was there that he was shot multiple times, several in the abdomen. He died a little more than a year later at his mother's house in Murfreesboro, Tennessee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murfreesboro%2C_Tennessee). Some believe his shooting was a result of his efforts to train and arm the Contras (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contra)."

My mother had the album when I was a kid, and I remember the song Ballad of the Green Berets. It was a chart-topper back in those days.

I fail to see how it's a right-wing, pro-murder song. It's a song about pride in our military.

To liberals, ANY song about pride in the military is a "pro-murder" song.
